I know that. However, if you can't keep it on-topic, then you should just not post at all and let the thread "die". You can always post whatever you want in the General Social Discussion thread, just not here or in any on-topic threads because otherwise, it's considered spam and is against the TOS.
And we are not worrying too much, we are just doing our jobs as officers and making sure everybody is respecting the community rules.

The rest of my unions generally follows that rule, and you dont see them dying. People create new threads ya know. :P
Well, it ain't happened all that often, and you keep closing threads that are getting alot of traffic. Seems to me like a stab to the ham string of hte union
I kinda agree with both sides here. Sure, it's very off topic, but at least we're posting. Even right now while everyone's arguing, it's very off topic, but it gives us something to talk about. New threads are great! All threads get old. Eventually we're gonna talk about everything we can about the subject so of course it's gonna evolve into something else. But do we actually have to close the thread? (i'm not trying to prove a point there, i really want to know if we have to close the thread for that)
Alright. Look at it this way. Threads have a life span. I realise that they will not be off topic forever. When we get through talking about the topic we need to stop posting in it! That's the way it works. The union will not die, in fact it'll make it better because we can create new topics. Once again, we can't just let you run wild. Back on topic or let it die, or it's locked (and I'm getting tired of locking)
