No. Sephiroth did not.equimanthorn01

Care to elaborate ?

So, when Kefka 'indirectly' burns Figaro and poisons the people at Doma, he gets all the credit. But when Sephiroth does something, it's not him all of a sudden ? :|

Stop being a fanboy, man. :P

Sephiroth did nothing in the first place. He spent the entire game frozen in the northern crater. =All he =really did was summon meteor. Anyone with the black materia can do that, though ,so what is so impressive about that?

Did you forget about the one part where Sephiroth uses Jenova's cells to create clones of himself and slaughters a whole bunch of people ? He messes up Shinra's HQ, tricks Cloud and company into obtaining the Black Materia for him and kills Aeris.

And while summoning Meteor may be nothing special, I'll ask you the same question: Anyone could have moved the Statues out of alignment, what's so special about what Kefka did ?

Correction. It was Hojo that did that, not SEphiroth

Not anyone could have drawn the power of 3 goddesses into themselves.

Aww, come on. :P You know what I'm talking about. When I said his clone, I meant the one that he made out of JENOVA's cells, his doppelganger, not the mentally unstable dudes from Hojo's experiments.

Do you have any proof about the Statues ? 'Cause I think you're just making that up.

Anyone can summon meteor? Wrong, Bugenhagen said:

"It requires an immense power to use the Black Materia and summon meteor, and another equal power to use White Materia and summon Holy" refering to Sephiroth and Aeris.

So, anyone can summon it right...?

Well, both ended up screwing around with the world through different methods, Kefka was more direct, and Sephiroth controlled things behind the scenes.

Oooh!  Another comparison between the two...sorta...

Hojo still made the Sephiroth clones.

He did move the statues tkoi throw the world off balance, thus destroying it, but his primary purpose there was to get the power of the 3 goddesses contained within the statues

IF it were equalk to the white materia, then only the ancients would be able to summon meteor. This is either a plot hole or it is just plain not true. Sephiroth is not an ancient, but he summoned meteor

No, the answer is, you do not know FFVII story.

In a conversation with Cloud, Sephiroth reveals that he will summon Meteor, Cloud questions him about how he had the power to do that, he then explains it, saying he traveled the Lifestream and collected the knowledge of the ancients and learned how to summon Meteor.

Check it out, its true.

It takes 2 things to be able to do that. Knowledge of how to do that and the power to b e able to do that. the only 2 people that could do that sort of thing were the emperor and KEfka. They were., They were killing off ESPers by draning them of their power and taking it int othemselves

Well, understand it as you want, you have two options here, believe that the ancients are not that special, they just have the abillity to converse with the planet and understand certain things, or believe they are supreme beings and know all and do it all.

What seems more reasonable? Logically, the first option, thus, Sephiroth by travelling the Lifestream learned of such ways to use Black Materia, or are you forgetting that he actually pointed out the directions to the Temple of The Ancients? After all, he planned the whole thing.

If the game is to be believed, then  the ancients were special. Your logic denies that which is put forth by the game itself

Not really, cuz all you have to do is believe Sephiroth was special too, by believing that, you ultimately have to accept Sephiroth could in fact summon meteor.

I am pretty sure that it was Sephiroth who created it twith the body of JENOVA. NeoGen, if you're reading this, please clarify this. :P

Anyway, that's totally irrelevant. My argument earlier was that Sephiroth was controlling it. Who created it is beside the point.

Hojo was using the Jenova cells to create the sephiroth clones. The fact that Cloud has Jenova cells in his body (put there by Hojo) is why many people believe him to be a Sephiroth clone

I know, I know... Except that was the real Sephiroth. Hojo never created a perfect clone, as far as I know. The ones he called 'Sephiroth's clones' were those insane Midgar residents. None of them had the look or the strength of Sephiroth.

Actually, what killed Aeris was a mentaly projected image by Sephiroth into one of Jenova's "pieces" , alowing a temporary appearence of something you could call "spirit", or did you guys by any chance forget that she didn't bleed at all?

Did you take note that no one bleeds in that game? Her not bleeding has nothing to do with how she was killed. Its just how the game was made. A clone of Sephiroth ran her through

Blood has nothing to do with the argument, yes, though Sephiroth does bleed at the end of the game, so you are wrong there, equimanthorn. :P

There was what you could call a "main" clone among the clones, and he is the one that Cloud and the others chase from the start of the game all the way to the northern crater. He had a tattoo of #1 on his arm, he released Jenova, and he killed Aeris. And yes, he was being controlled by the real Sephiroth.

There, that settles who killed Aeris:)

[QUOTE="equimanthorn01"][QUOTE="Gamer4Iife"]I know, I know... Except that was the real Sephiroth. Hojo never created a perfect clone, as far as I know. The ones he called 'Sephiroth's clones' were those insane Midgar residents. None of them had the look or the strength of Sephiroth.DJ-Lafleur

the Sephiroth that killed Aerith was not the real Sephiroth. That is a technical impossibility because he was frozen in the northern crater at the time and had been for years

Exactly! :P That's the "clone" I'm talking about.

It was a clone though. It had to be. It couldn't have been the real Sephiroth

A clone?

Actually, what killed Aeris was a mentaly projected image by Sephiroth into one of Jenova's "pieces" , alowing a temporary appearence of something you could call "spirit", or did you guys by any chance forget that she didn't bleed at all?

Did you take note that no one bleeds in that game? Her not bleeding has nothing to do with how she was killed. Its just how the game was made. A clone of Sephiroth ran her through

Blood has nothing to do with the argument, yes, though Sephiroth does bleed at the end of the game, so you are wrong there, equimanthorn. :P

Aren't they6 required by the ESRB to list if there is blood or not in thye games? The FFVII case does not list blood. FFX does, though.

In other words, I was right. It wasn't Sephiroth. It was a clone

Here is an interesting thought. Is Jenova controlling Sephiroth? She certainl.y seems to have some form of control over all that have her cells in her because they all wind up visiting the northern crater, where she was to begin with, at sone point (save Zack, but he did die)

Oh? no one bleeds? I guess you forgot when Sephiroth "dies" just at the end, after Cloud goes Omnislash on him and he is shot backwards bleeding the hell out... go check it.

When I said "shot" it wasn't supposed to be taken literally. And yeah, Sephiroth bleeds pretty bad in this squence (the ending actually).

Also, Aeris not bleeding was intentional, belive it.

You did note that the ESRB gave it a T rating? If it had been bloody, it would have been boosted to M dude
