You have a good point. The FFVII fanboys overhype Sephiroth, and insult everyone else, which in turn, causes all this conflict(like now). IpodHero176

Fanboys do this with everything. Just like how FFVI fanboys are mad that FFVII is a more popular game therefore try and do whatever they can to say that FFVII is the most overrated game of all time and how FFVI is the greatest game ever.

Cast in point, fanboys of anything are pretty stupid and shouldn't be used to decide whether or not a character makes a good main character or villain.

That doesn't make him more interesting or more evil. Kefka is a far better villian than him

Ok..... im simply asking why then, aside from his actions, what makes him a good villian as compared to others. What made him so appreciateble aside from his sinister laugh and craving of power, cause in that sense he doesnt have much morethan villains like sephiroth, and others like vayne or Kuja.... im getting the feeling u just try everything in your power to lash out at sephiroth for some reason. maybee because hes "emo" or "goth" i guess (bah, now i have a headache just by saying those words)

So.... what EXACLTY makes kefka more interesting? sure ill give u evil, since anyone can be evil,i know a9 year old who wrote a 4 page story that had a Bad king burn down an entire kingdom and killing all the people....... interesting invloves writting capabilities, you know.... to "interest" the reader, so really, im simply curious, what is it about kefka that makes him such an interesting character and makes him stand out over other villians?

He wasn't a super human. He wasn't some powerful sorcerer. He wasn't some eternal being that you had to take down or anything like that. Kefka was just a man. A **** insane man. That was cool. That was different. IT was interesting

? so now because he was human? and when he fused himself in the end.... ya know that reminds me of vayne and seymore, another 2 low quality villians. I still see nothing about him that makes him stand out as interesting, being human means nothing, and if actions dont mean anything either (wich they really dont) then u must like symore than, althogh he had more personality at least

He was just a human being with a lust for power filled with hatred. He wasn't like the other villians. He was insane. That is why he is interesting. THat is why he stands out. HE is different.

Seymour is an OK villian. I like Vayne, Ex Death and Kuja alot more than him

A lust for power, full of hatred, and insane describes just about every villian in the history of everything. I think I know what you're trying to say, but you can explain it better than that.

Sephiroth wanted power, was full of hatred, and wasn't very sane, either, like most other villains I can think of.

Not on the same level as Kefka though. Also, not many villians are funny like Kefka and serious at the same time

I liked Sephiroth quite a lot. For one, he was so sure of himself. He just knew he was going to take over the world. And even after Cloud & Co. put him to sleep he tried everything he could to come back again (and did). He just wouldn't give up. But I do believe that Kefka is the ultimate villian. Besides his actions AND his personality, he looked like a clown, and clowns are a universal sign of pure evil.

Yes.. that is my point, kefka does nothing that makes more stand out as unique, he shares the same attributes as almost every other villian.... for the exception that he does not have any backstory or credit

*SPOILERS*

Poison the water at Doma and set Castle Firago on fire.

other villains have poisoned people and set castles on fire...

but of course, many villains have done things similar to what other villains have done...

when I look at a good villain, I mostly look at their life, their backstory, and their attitude/perasonality.

Kefka deffinitely had the attitude and personality manfs_metal

I agree, I liked his attitude and personality. He was crazy, he was diabolical, he was twisted, and he didn't give rat's ass for the lives of others, he was kinda comical, was pure evil, and he was a villain you could hate.

These things go with Sephiroth, too (except for the comical part). Sephiroth might not have been as twisted as Kefka or whatever, but that doesn't mean Sephiroth wasn't twisted at all. And we also got to learn alot about Sephiroth in VII, while the only thing we knew about Kefka was that he was asinsane as hell.

I liked both villains. Kefka for hispersonality and Sephiroth for his life story.

Well, i was just kidding around...and IX's characters hands are always bigger than their heads, while in VII their "hands" are only blocks when they are sprites, in cutscenes they seemed to be normal. Really though, i liked both styles of both games and was just joking around about IX. :)

I was and always will be a fan of Sephiroth, but every game has their typical villain. 'I'm gonna destroy the earth!! Oh no! This band of misfits has come out of nowhere and beaten everything i threw at them! Blast You!!' Something along those lines! :)

i just started playing FF VI and kefka already seems like a crazed demented evil guy (just buried the castle-yeah, i mean it literally when i say just started playing) and ive already beaten suikoden 4 and have always wanted to play 2-its too hard to find. does anyone remember "mystic defender" for the sega genesis? (probably not) but there was a villain in that game that steals your girlfriend and makes you go through hell to get her back-the difficulty of the game makes the villain pretty evil........
