yup too true, still raising your own chocobo sounds mind blowingly cool.......with a bit of luck that will be the first and last time i ever use that phrase.

I can't ever go back to Final Fantasy XI. Played it for a year and a half, and I've felt I've accomplished that which is worthwhile, the games more of an addiction anyway, I ended up giving everything I had away (which was about 40 million gil worth). Chocobo breeding does sound quite good, something I always wanted. The game just doesn't really have enough depth and its far too repetitive thorpe1988
Its good to know that i'm not missing too much then :) Â
eh this game annoys me so.................... Jumbo120788
same here i cant afford a FFXI game and also its online so you have to pay. people who have this game are very lucky

I don't think thorpe1988 was saying that it isn't worth playing. If you can stay with a MMORPG for at least a year, then you have definitely enjoyed yourself. I'd say repetition is apart of the MMORPG genre. As far a depth goes, only a few MMORPG have every accomplished a immersive storyline. I don't include Final Fantasy XI as one of those story-based MMORPGs since the community doesn't hold it as an importance. With Matrix Online, Morpheus died and players were able to visit his live funeral. In Shadowbane, the developing team took the background information of an all Elves guild on a server and did a live storyline regarding them. Or perhaps Turbine's Asheron's Call; which is notorious for it's story-based gameplay.
I currently play World of Warcraft at the moment. I definitely enjoy my time in the world of Azeroth but compared to other MMORPGs, WoW doesn't receive enough updates for new content. Also, world events do not happen often. Currently the 1.11.0 patch is about to come out with the Scourage invading Azeroth. I play on a roleplaying server and we are definitely waiting for this event. Not to mention the patch has a lot of new things, so it makes up for the loss in updates.
if i live to see anything i hope its the end of Pay to Play games!it would be nice if you never had to pay monthly fees for games, but they tend to make some of the best games, which can be very annoying when they get so expensive
once youve baught it youve done enough, if you really love it get the merchandise like i do, but pay to play online stuff just isnt ever going to be acceptable!
