We all know that a role-playing gaming needs a villain, and out of many RPG's that exist, some of the best of them come from the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy is the series that established Sepiroth, the most badass, cool, all pwntering villain that shouted "all ur hp r belong to me!! when faced by random civilians. He was the coolest Final Fantasy character in existance, no one was better.

You guys feeling any sarcasm from that last paragraph? If you are, then cookie for you.

Many villains in the Final Fantasy series are overlooked because everyone's always talking about Sephiroth, which is just Final Fantasy VII fanboyism showing. What was so great about him? Sure, he had a cool sword and was strong, but that doesn't seem like a reason for him to be "tha best vilan evar!11".

Here's a few villains I prefered much more over Sephiroth:

Kefka

I haven't played Final Fantasy VI, but I'll get around to it one day. So, how do I know anything about Kefka? Well, I'vve heard a lot about him, such as the fact that he's a bat-**** insane villain. I heard something about him re-shaping the world in the way he wanted it to be, but I'll let other people confirm that. Did Sephiroth do anything like this? No. Kefka >>> Sephiroth

Kuja

First of all, anyone who thinks Kuja sucks because he looks like a girl/weirdo, get over it, Sephiroth didn't look badass or cool or anything like that either.

Kuja was smart, he knew how to trick Queen Brahne into doing what he asked, and was able to plan his strtagies very well. When we're in Terra, we see his full power in action. He destroys a whole freakin' planet, people! Did Sephiroth ever do that? No.

If being badass means you need to have a big long sword (sounds so wrong :P), then Sephiroth truly is a badass, but being a badass doesn't mean that, even though I don't know how to explain it perfectly, I can tell you that a lot more in villains in the Final Fantasy series were more badass than Sephiroth.

For me, mercilessness, brutality or other forms of evil acts does not make one a good villain. A guy can be good, or even neutral/innocent, but he can be the perfect antagonist in our story.

I want to see another female villain in the series. Unlike in most games were female villains beat the living hell out of the good guys, i really want to see that in future FF games.

Kefka is great because he has a PERSONALITY, not just being an ****. He'll make you laugh while making you hate him at the same time.

Kefka was pansy too. He might be evil, but he still crossed dress along with dressing up like a clown. lol

Kefka did not cross dress dude. He dressed like a clown. There is a huge difference. I think he might have beebn a jester at some point in the past.

Anyway, my favorite FF villians are Kefka, Kuja. X-Death and the Judges

Sephiroth is the coolest villain, but definitely not the baddest. You are right, he mainly just burned a town and killed a person.

another thing that makes kefka so great is that he is one of VERY few villians that actually achieves his goal, you foil his 2nd plan, not his 1st, he even becomes a god...all those other villians continually fail to achieve their ultimate goals...as for dressing up like a clown, i dno, it may have something to do with the insanity all those experiments caused...lol. it certainly did help add to his character tho, a sane person wouldn't have made sense saying things "i will build a monument to non-existence" and "i hate hate hate hate hate hate hate (there's probably a few more than that lol) HATE YOU!!" (when he suddenly gets betrayed)

bah....Sephiroth isnt an amazing villian because he did evil sh!t its about his personality, his insane nature, "I am doing it for mother" lol :P, He also had a strong story and was once a good person who turned evil, you see the villian develop from good to evil, and it is realistic in this sense, Sephiroth also had his insane sword which became a trademark along with his uniform and white hair.....and yes i do agree, the JUDGES from FFXII are Wicked sick ....especially how they come across with their own personalities and whatnot.....they kool enough said

Good point there. And once again, dressing like a clown does not mean that your cross dressing. But if it DOES, it means that ever clown in the circus is cross dressing  Sephiroth ACTS like a woman to me.
