^ 4 hours of that is divided between to subjects... 2 hours each... with 2 boring instructors who are old... in their 60's... I'm glad I did not sleep in class that night.
I would want to share some, but i rather not... i might get modded... and besides, most of the funnier jokes are in our language and if translated in english the joke somehow disappears.
That's our second language. English is the medium of instruction except for our subject Filipino where we study our language. It's like the Filipino version of the subject English... you know... verbs, nouns, grammar, punctuations, etc. Throughout the Philippines I think there are at least 70 regional dialects. I know 3 of which Tagalog is my mastery. Btw, Tagalog is the basis of about 95% of our official language, Filipino.
If you look closely at the map of the Philippines, we Filipinos are separated by more than 7,000 islands... it resulted into different cultures... and languages. I often meet other people who know a different dialect, but it is good that we can communicate either via the Filipino language and English. Even those who did not even step into school can at least talk to foreigners with simple yes, no, etc. unlike some asian peolpe who refuses to talk when they don't understand a foreigner. lol We call it "English Carabao". lol
Okay, before I actually go, I'll answer your question :)
I learned by English in school. Yeah, yes and no can help a lot. The word "there", "go", "left', "right", "up", "down", etc. (the basics) are known even by uneducated Filipino (I mean, the one who did not get a chance to go to school... because of poverty), so if ever you're in the Philippines and you're lost, don't be afraid to ask. You're SUPER unlucky if you find a Filipino who totally cannot understand and speak english.

In the past months I've been requested to be a charter member of so many unions and I alwys reject, but since I'm a little bored, I accepted the request to be a charter member for the Square Enix Union... i'm just bored. Btw, what's the difference between a chater member and an officer?
Um, I think a charter member is one of the 4 people I think, necesary to create a union. And a officer is a moderator...Um I think most charter members are mods of the same union as well.
