A lot of our officers use several sources, and sometimes aren't dedicated to one. What they do is they'll hear about a Final Fantasy rumor, and a spirt of news. After that they simply research it. We also look in gaming magazines as well. We don't try to stick to one specific source. Several different sources reporting the same news is better then one.

I honestly just use Digg and if there's anything new about Final Fantasy there (won't happen too often) I'll try to post it.

Fansites, Game Informer, and the Gamepot.com website is about all I use to find info on the series and Square Enix themselves.

Not everything reported on fansites ought to be true. So I basically use them as second refrence compared to official sources like Gamespot gamedaily.

I give priority to Square Enix site. Next priority is Famitsu/Dorimaga/and other JP mag. Then the big sites like GS, 1Up, IGN. Next in the line is the specialist sites like RPGFan and RPGamer. LAstly, I visit message boards fro rumors and other info.

Most of if not all of my info comes from 1up, Gamespot, EGM(they've had a spotty record though ever since reported a remake of FFVII), Kotaku, Penny Arcade(read the newsposts you'll learn something), and lastly gaygamer.net(very good site for editorials and gaming news in general). I have a few others that I can never remember the names of too...

Wikipedia's a good source because it kinda compiles all the information gathered from variously official sites. And plus the information is validated and updated whenever the source updates as well.

Wikipedia is a very bad source since anyone and their grandma can edit it. Read the Penny Arcade strip where Skeletor gets a hold of the He-Man page. It paints a rather accurate picture of wikipedia's biggest flaw.
