it wasnt just yuna searches for tidus, it was also about the collapse of the calm due to the rivalries and vegnagun, and it was allso about shuying and lenne. there were lots of elements to the storyjohngebreadman
Ok.. well listen, now take note that this is ONLY in regards to the stroy, cause people bash this game for far more reasons than the story....If ALL the ffx elements were removed from the game and it was made off of originality, and i mean.. re construct the names and event sof the game so it is not related to ffx, than it would have possibly been an ok story.
however, 9/10 who cherished ffx for its stroy and caracters were deeply offended by ffxs far fetched attempt at a sequel, It was almost impossible for yuna to be taken seriously and all the events that took place were clearly thrown into the game making it quite clear that a sequel was never originaly intended to be made during the creation of ff10 (wich makes for teh worst kind of sequels)dispite the ending scene of tidus coming up through the water, im not convinced. Many people asked.... "Where the hell did SHuyin or lenne come from, and ware where they b4?, or when the hell did yuna learn how to sing.... and ware where the dress spheres the whole time, and why was vagnagun never even referenced in ff10?" There are almost no strong connections between the two games' storylines.
FF10 provided an exquisite and proper ending and captured just what was needed to provide closure to the game... ff10-2 massacred that, and without even explaining.... Tidus just "comes back", that was terrible, not to mention the 100% ending was complete garbage that explained ABSOLUTLEY nothing
