why not any other Rpgs? what is it about final fantasy that has you hooked? are you ever dissapointed you never play the same world such as gaia, terra, Ivalice, or Vana'diel? do you ever wish that they would make a Final fantasy about a certain character that you thought was cool?

reason I bring this up is because I have alot of other RPGs none of them are near complete for example go into my collection list and catigorize to just be Rpgs i have alot but most are final fantasy, and dont you think that out of all the rpgs you have Final Fantasy is the one that stays in your mind as a great story, i mean all rpgs are great but i was dissapointed by some games Xenosaga: Der wille zur macht i wasnt very impressed (plus i have had the game for three year and i still cant beat the last boss that THING is hard al-bedo isnt too bad but im dying by the time i get to that thing) but i havnt been dissapointed by a final fantasy yet i want to beat FFV but X-Death just wont let me, but as for the places I dont know why but i always wish i could go back to some of the worlds just so that they could mention the events that happened hundreds of years ago like FFVIII what if another sorceress is born like a thousands year later a new team of SeeDs have to save the world and Vana'diel that just popped up in my head Im always there :)its not going anywhere, and the character that im thinking of is Jecht from Final Fantasy I want to know how he got into the world of spira and how the story went for him how he ended up being Braskas gaurdian what made him decide to be the sacrafice, did he miss Tidus and his wife, They could call it FFX-3 or FFX-0 or what ever they feel like.

I dont know what it is, but what i want to know is what you think it is,or if you have any other thoughts of The Worlds of Final Fantasy

I like the idea of new worlds and adventure. It adds new things to the franchise so it doesn't get too old. My favorite rpg is not a final fantasy, it's Chrono Trigger. I also play western rpg's such as The Elder Scrolls series, Neverwinter Nights, and KOTOR.

Final Fantasy is just something that I really feel. You can feel the characters emotion when they are happy or sad. It's an amazing game with an amazing story. It's not all epic graphics that make me love this series (and people who aren't FF fans always argue that the series is so popular because of the graphics) I would like to remind them that Final Fantasy VI is on of the best games ever, and it doesn't have great graphics by todays standards. What really hooks you is the gameplay, story, characters, battles, etc. and how it all comes together so smoothly. Other RPGs specialize in one or the other (most of the time) and it's never quite as epic.

FF is like crack! (randomness) Anyways, the things I love about FF games are the hours of fun, the things you can do, the environment (I like talking to people and don't like being in a world alone), the battle system, and a lot of other things. The thing I love the most is the emotion in 'em. Like the romance and stuff (don't wanna sound girly, but you know what I mean). I'm not gonna lie, those games changed the way I think and the way I act a little. More gentle and what-not. That's all I'm gonna say....

Good story, good writing (usually), and the best replay value of any video game series. Plus I'm just astounded at Square-Enix's commitment to keep reinventing the franchise.

Yes, they are a company, that's true. And they do want money, but they are still very committed to the games they make, which I think more companies should follow their lead.

I guess what has me hooked is that the other series of rpgs that had such great potential never lived up to the hype game after game like the ff series.  FF just seems to have good game after good game.  As for a series like Chrono Trigger that was a hell of game and its a hard to find a better rpg than it but Chrono Cross was not near the game Chrono Trigger was and people expect the same kind of quality that was in the original game to be in the sequel.  The same thing goes for xenogears its not that it doesn't have the potential to be better than the ff series because the first xenogears game was great its just that the other games that followed after xenogears would be xenosaga were not nearly as good as xenogears the original game.  So ff is one of the series that is able to produce good game after good game unlike some of the other rpg games out there.  Its just the other games have not made as good of sequels as the ff series has.  The same could be said of the secret of mana series the first game was killer but after that the sequels just have not lived up to the hype.

Hmm, while Final fantasy VII will always be the top of my list (I've cemented it there, just so I can be consistent) I would have to say that there are games that I have enjoyed playing more than or as much as other Final Fantasy titles.  To make the most fair comparisons, FF8 & 9 had very impressive visuals, and I really liked 8's story and music (9 was good too of course, but I couldn't say I REALLY liked them).  However I would have to say I was never a huge fan of how they played, the draw system, salary idea, and way you got new equipment in 8 all irked me.  And 9 I don't recall anything terribly innovative (Though perhaps I should play it again).  On the other hand I really enjoyed PLAYING games like Grandia, Legend of Legaia, and Valkyrie Profile.  Grandia was very fun, even though the first 3 hours or so make me cringe.  Legend of Legaia, though I often forget about it, is probably one of my favorite games ever.  And I've been recently replaying Valkyrie Profile on PSP and the combat system is really quite enjoyable and unique (Even if the super attacks can get repetitive).  So while I would have to say that I consider Final Fantasy unparalleled in terms of story (Or very rarely paralleled) and its many production values, there are a good many RPGs that I have enjoyed playing as much if not more.
