I didn't either but then again I had the guide book to help make sense of everything. I'm not sure how difficult it would actually be for someone who doesn't have that resource.Lightning__Evili didn't use a walkthrough or books. I just used trial and error for my part
I found XIII-2 to have better gameplay than XIII, but not as good of a story. I think that XIII-2 made up for all the extra bosses, challenges, and puzzles that XIII didnt have.vegamineral
i think 13-2 was better, 13 had a longer story, but i still think 13-2 was the better
It is, FFXIII-2 got alot more exploration than any other FF.vegamineral
FFX is bigger than 13-2 at least in my opinion, you have all the creatures to catch in all areas, ultimate weapons, ultimate creatures, extra aions and dark aions

True i forgot about X.I actually didn't do more than the main story in X. A lot of people say that X is pretty linear as well like XIII but at the same time many people really like X and some even say its the best.Lightning__EvilIts really hard for me to choose between X and VII as the best in the series, there is much more to do in X besides the main story that makes it so fun.

I think it's due to the fact that the game didn't have a really long tutorial, more likable characters, Summons were actually cool, mini games like blitz ball, better story, the ability to go back to all previous areas, actual Legendary weapons, Sphere grid, no limitations on levles throyghout the game, the game didn't feel empty with towns, etc.
I liked X, but it's not my fave.

That is all so true.X and XIII are so similar yet so different that it makes my head hurt when people say they're both the same.

Yeah I don't see it either. I would say that XIII is more linear than X though. The leveling certainly is. Even though the crystarium looks very similar to the sphere grid, it's not nearly as diverse. For one, you could actually max it out without putting in 150+ hours since the sphere grid is so freaking diverse and huge. I've met one person who nearly maxed out their sphere grid and had made their characters more powerful than you could possibly imagine haha
VIII really is different from any other combat system regarding junctioning and how you never ever use magic unless maybe you need an emergency heal. No armor choices to go through and even upgrading weapons didn't matter as much as junctioning a better spell. I enjoyed how it eliminated grinding for the most part though. Made it easier to focus on the story. JukedSolid
It also one of the reasons why people hated the game.

X is certainly worth it and I would say X-2 as well. There were many critisisms about X-2 but personally I really enjoyed it. It can't even hold a candle to the awesome that is X but I still liked the game.Lightning__Evil
i want to try it out
