yeah it depends what other music you listen to. if you look into the lyrics, some rock can have great lyrics, that can actually tell a full story.

now im not saying rap cant either. some of it has great lyrics as well, just most rap, even with good lyrics, has lyrics that are ridiculous.

But I've never heard another genre of music incorporate wit, intellect, humor, puns and punchlines, references to pop culture and politics, and create a smooth flow of rhyming words in their songs besides rap.

you see i disagree. i dont think rap has the flow it could have. and ive heard a lot of songs of other genres with wit, intellect, emotion, and general story-telling. humor, puns, and punchlines...watch a f***ing comedy show, dont listen to music.:P

Like this one. One of my favorite songs, but they only talk about how they're better than other rappers. I like it because the clever use of wordplay, punchlines, analogies, etc.. 

dude im sorry but your things involving comedy just makes me want to laugh at you. im really sorry, but who the hell listens to music (other than comedy music) for laughs.:P
