I'm looking for a good, fun RPG with a good story line.
I've narrowed it down to these two. But if you have any other suggestions those would be great.
so what do you think?

I voted for Golden Sun, even though I didnt really enjoy either.. Fire emblem in my opinion is flawed in the way that it really doesnt take "strategy", unless you find picking the right characters a "strategy".. Golden sun I found a little too easy, during the bosses I could nearly fall asleep and still beat them :/. So perasonally I prefer summon night 2, riviera, and ffv over both of them.
I have played them both and must say that Fire emblem is the one that got me hooked, it entertained me enough to buy the sequel and the GC version too. It's like the BBC tv series-Robin of sherwood from the 1980's...at least the way the narrative and small group of heroes pans out. the strategy is advance wars(it is the same developer after all), and i disagree that taking the correct characters is all their is too it as if you try and take characters that aren't powerful it requires you to think about what you do more-and usually the really weak characters at the beginning become absolutley awesome later on-EG, florina and Erk. It's got alot of nice ideas in it and it harks back to the late 80s and early 90s games-which i love anyways being an older gamer. Golden sun lost me after a while, the story didn't hold my attention, but many people still hold it in high regard.
Pssssh.

I played both Golden Suns, and I HATED THEM, it was too much of a sit and watch game, the only REAL control you had,
was moving your character around?
SwordCraft 1 and 2 are great 'Other' games.
Â
All Fire Emblem games are great, and some of you said that its not a strategy game, when it IS.
If you put a level 2 Archer into the battlefield with 5 Level 1Â Pegasus Knights, the archer would die. Putting a SwordsMaster and a General, will give you the upper hand, FE is ALL about strategy!
