i didnt know that. thats too bad cus there were plenty better GC games than dash, i bought that game and i did not like it at all. i went back to playing the snes one and had more fun with that game. the n64 on was even better.

WTF is wrong with you. How can you say the SNES mario kart and mario kart 64 is better than double dash? Did you even play the game? You never even gave one reason why you didn't like the game. You never even name some games better than double dash. All because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad game. It's definitely way better than the SNES crap and mario kart 64. You obviously don't own a gamecube or you wouldn't say a N64 and SNES game is better.

Both Mario Kart for SNES and Mario Kart 64 were better games than Double Dash. The main problem with DD was that it lacked depth and replayability. Track design was somewhat lacking, overall they were short and repetitive. The addition of the second rider wasn't really that big of a deal. It wasn't the revolutionary advancement a lot of people made it out to be. The game was fun with friends, and some of the single player races could be memorable, but it just wasn't as impressive and fun to play as the other games in the series. I think GS did an excellent job in reviewing the game and I agreed with most of their comments. I would encourage those who haven't read it to do so, it might give you a fresh perspective on the game.
Mario Kart is a beloved and well known franchise. It's more of a kid friendly game. When parents are going to pick up a title for their young ones they think "fighting game" vs "driving game" and the driving game will win every time. Especially since its MARIO KART. I mean come on. Mario kart is one of those games that everyone just KNOWS they are going to buy for every new Nintendo system. Only us "crazy gamers" know how unbelievably good the smash brothers series is.
