[QUOTE="TheKungFool"] [QUOTE="Rocky32189"]Just get a Wii...Rocky32189
If I see one more "just get a Wii" comment when someone asks about an NGC I'm going to puke. Did you even READ his post? He's looking for a deal on an inexpensive system. If he was tyring to spend $300 on a Wii, he wouldn't be on the GAMECUBE FORUM asking about a GAMECUBE.
Yes, its a great time to get a Cube. Its a great pricepoint for a warrantied brand new system, and you can still find accessories and the decent games on the cheap. The problem I see with waiting another year is that you may find some of the better accesories and games becoming harder to find as they become out of print.
Sorry but I think its foolish to get a GC at this point. The Wii only costs $250. Why are you going to spend close to $100 for a GC when for $150 more you can get all the GC capabilities plus tons more. I'm sure this person will eventually want to buy a Wii so why not go for it now instead of wasting money on a Cube? Nintendo has completely pulled the plug on the GC so he will just be playing old games. I'm sure there will be Wii games that will interest this person so just pay the extra $150 more. It's not much more. To the original poster: It's a horrible time to get a GC but the perfect time to buy a Wii. Yes but how do you know this person wants a Wii or not? What if he just wants to play only GC games, if he does then whats the point in coughing up extra money just to play only GC games? What if he is saving up for a 360 or a PS3 and decides to get a cheap GCN to play games he missed out? Dont assume that everyone who had a GC or wants a GC will eventually buy a Wii in the future, because I know I wont, just waiting for the 360 to hit a price drop. The Wii is doing Nintendo favors by increasing their profit, but sadly to me it does not seem like a "gamer" console. I say go ahead and get a GC if he wants to play only GC games, but if he wants to play Wii games as well, then I guess he should get a Wii.
P.S. Stop acting like there is something wrong with the GC.
