Virtual Boy. It's hardly portable, so I think it counts as a console.

Actually, you can't name 50 good games for many consoles, but the ratio of good/crap for the N64 is the second highest in video gaming history at 1/3.  The only better console was the Dreamcast with a ratio of 3/8.  This is probably due to the fact that gaming fads (3D platformers, Cell Shading) was easier to sell to gamers back then, and that sparked developers to spend more time working on game material without wasting it on superior graphics.

In case you're wondering, statistically the GBA is the worst Nintendo console ever, with an underwhelming 1/30 good/crap ratio because of the ease of product placing (Hannah Montana comes to mind) and ability to reproduce ports of Super Nintendo games that lack any additions at all.  Personally I would vote for the Game Boy Pocket, which I would own if not for the fact that by the time I saved up enough for one Nintendo announced the Game Boy Color for sale for like $70.  One of the first and worst ways that gaming companies have undermined their own efforts by selling a superior product.

Virtual Boy by far. It should've been canned in its conceptual stage, because it would have cost too much to make the system be full-colour.

Well I have never played the Virtua Boy so I have no idea how bad it is. Out of the systems I have played, I'd pick the GameCube, but I think the Wii will be even worse.

I agree there. I love all consoles being the collector I am, but this one was just sad to me.

i have never played Virtua Boy either but i would have to say that the worst nintendo console is the Wii. Sure its winning the console war right now but i think people will get tired of its kind of gameplay. For me i dont think the the motion control is good for rpg games, so i give it a thumbs down.

Nice, but where did you get these statistics?

My vote goes for the Virtual Boy, the only console that makes you want to rip your eyes off.

I absolutely agree. Considering it was Nintendo's worst console, it sure had alot of earth shattering games. Too bad there were 10 of those and the rest were all crap.

Well anyone who says the wii needs to work some personal things out.  To me on the Wii even the lesser games such as Red Steele plays better than most shooters on any other system.  I think the main thing they need to do is get more in touch with the online community. As far as RPG's go I suppose the first true test of that will be Dragon Quest.   Obviously the Wii, PS3, and Xbox360 all need to do some major work before the next generation of consoles to even be considered as great systems, but the
Wii is doing great up to this point and I could see it keeping it up for a long time to come with some excellent titles coming out and big 3rd party deals with guitar hero 3, RE:TUC among other things.  They can't do like they did with the gamecube and expect to exceed but at this point they are so much further ahead of where the game cube was interms of 3rd party titles and sales.  The uniquness and overall quality of this system should be easily able to keep the attention and gain new interests of potential developers.  Virtual Boy is the obvious statement it was a poorly developed systemthat was in ways to far ahead of its time which cost it dearly because to keep it in a decent price range they had to basically ruin the system.

I've actually found about 50 good games. The thing about older consoles is they don't have as many games as the newer ones. So in that respect, it is hard to find a good game. But trust me, they are out there.
