That is a really, really good question... heck, the only place I can find new (1st party) GC controllers online is on Nintendo's online store.

Quality over price dude. Always get the first party ones, and try look at EB, or maybe even wal-mart or superstore. My superstore and wal-mart carried them until about a month ago.

If you have a credit card Play-Asia is a good site for GC stuff like 1st party accessories and so on.

Try looking in stores that are not usually known for selling gaming gear. Usually they have older stocks that they want to get rid of. I'm thinking about places like supermarkets etc.
