yeah, Fight Night r2 has INCREDIBLE graphics on the player models, better than Soul Caliber 2 and any other GC game for that matter, IMHO, BUT, the reason I didn't include it in my original list is because the background environments and people look pretty bland.
fight night 3 is the most realistic game ever. I assume they need those resources for character models and framerates rather than for bg characters ;).
The 30fps of Resident Evil 4 really hurts it in my eyes - it looks fine on an SDTV, but in 480p it starts to look a little more crusty and jaggy (whether that's just because my monitor's upscaler is bad or because of the inherent flaws with 30fps, I don't know).

I assume so too, and for boxing, you've got a point, because the action is all focused on the boxers. I was just thinking of other fighting games that do have great backgrounds, like Soul Caliber 2, Tekken 5, SSMB, etc. But again, those games incorporate the backgrounds greatly into the game, unlike Fight Night.
