AC Brotherhood gets nominated for best action adventure and not Bayonetta.
Seriously way to go, you can release a rehash with shallow gameplay and still get a nomination. Don't even bother trying to add depth to a game, just make sure it has good graphics and the industry will all over it. Just be sure its easy for the people judging to pick up.
They even have an award for best graphics? awesome lol, but why don't you add one for gameplay next time?

I find it absolutely hilarious that you make fun of AC:B for being shallow, but you argue Bayonetta should have been nominated.
That game was literally only made to be a sexy girl jumping around killing things, my ankles bearly got wet with how shallow that game was.
When it comes to gameplay Bayonetta is way deeper than AC, this is not even a contest. AC might have deeper story and characters but I thought we were nominating games here, not movies.
...What?
Bayonetta was almost a button masher...I'm aware that the combat was kinda' one of those 'easy to learn; difficult to master' types but the entire game was pretty much the same thing over and over again...just stronger enemies and more fighting styles along the way...but it was pretty much the same, beginning to end...if I remember correctly (been a while since I played it)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood...I...I just don't understand how you can call it shallow...unless you haven't played it...but I'm sure you have...
It's got elements of stealth, action, shooters...the multiplayer was surprisingly fun...unless you're just talking about the combat and how you could take out 20 guards with that whole kill-combo thing, I don't see how you can think of it as being a shallow game...
