[QUOTE="juradai"] The models do look good but I wouldn't be surprised to if this was current gen. It looks very similar to L.A. Noire and there is some blocky modeling going on with the arms that is reminiscent of current gen models. juradai
Rockstar said this game was being developed for current gen consoles with no PC version so far, so you guys are right. I am just surprised by how clean everything looks. We are used to seeing graphics like this in corridor shooters like Max Payne and Uncharted, but ive never seen an open world game look this good. Not even Sleeping Dogs on PC.
And yeah, looking at the last gif it definitely looks like they are using L.A Noire's facial animation tech... Good catch!

Thanks! Oh, and have they stated specifically no PC version or just have made no mention either way?Â
Back in Nov 12, they said it was 'up for consideration'. They were late releasing the PC version of GTAIV, never released RDR on PC, but did launch max Payne 3 on the PC along with the console versions so hopefully thye wouldnt take too long to port it. This was before the six month delay though so maybe things have changed. All I know is that I am not playing it on the PS3 or 360. I'd rather play the best version. next gen, pc or bust.
From PC Gamer:
The prospects of a PC version of GTA 5 appear to be in a terrifying state of flux. After seeming to be a dead cert earlier this year, doubts emerged when the games posters confirmed only a console release. Now asked directly about a PC version by IGN, Rockstars Dan Houser would no more commit to that platform than he would Wii U.
A potential PC version is only up for consideration, he said. Thats all I can give you. The main thing is we are not we are a third-party publisher. Were not Nintendo, were not Sony, were not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever theres the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.
So, uh, does that mean theres an appropriate business opportunity on PC, then? Houser didnt say. He did however say that the current geriatric generation of creaking console hardware is ample enough to see out their creative intentions.
Some other people talk about the limitations of the [current] hardware. We dont feel there are that many limitations. We feel we can do some very impressive stuff and do it for a large audience. This felt like the way Therell be a much larger audience on PS3 than there will be on PS4.
Erp. What worrying words. Heres hoping Housers just being cagey.
