I hate make my title so obvious but how bad madden has become makes me put that title. Im not saying that All pro is the mecca of all football games, however with that being said it is a whole lot better then the garbage that EA sports has been chucking out lately to the Football game playing nation. I owe both a PS3 and X360, and i have played both version of the madden and have been horribly disgusted by the quality of value they have given us. I thought with next gen we would get the closes to reality gridron action I come to love. I played football, and live it, and watch everyday but when madden is poped in i notice too many things wrong with the game. 1, is how the pocket collapse after 2 sec of holding the ball, (i mean im playing with the colts and peyton manning only gets 2 secs in the pocket against the dolphins c'mon now). 2, how the animations are supposedly smooth but they look the same from the pervious version of madden we have gotten. 3, the turnover ratio for the love of god u can even take a shot down field, and not every corner in the league is going to make a spectaular catch when he has the opportunity, 4 the commentary all i can say is WTF. 5. the weapon system is uneffective, it like they were catering to people who dont a thing about football rather then the football audience.

with all pro it feels like real football players made it, the pocket forms as it should, the route running is smoother and the movements do not look as robotic like its madden counterpart. Even though it has an over abusive AI and the INS and OUTS are hard to defend it has overall better gameplay with generic players. The mode may suck but come on who picks up a sport games for all of the sports mode for me and most of the population i kno its game play baby

I know all pro isn't the best but it isn't highly overrated like madden is, they probably paid to get that rating over on gamespot and ign. All i can say is i may have rubbed some supporters the wrong way, but ne one who feels the way i feel dont be afraid let ur opinion be posted, and pray that some one has a formula to keep the real football players captivated

Nice post. If All Pro was truly a better game, then EA would have bought out Take Two by now. I am gonna check out All Pro though cause I hear what your sayin about Madden. thanks

I haven't been a big Madden fan since 2002, but I have been a tremendous NCAA Football fan. '08 was my first year playing the game current gen and I was overall unimpressed. Before the game was patched, the gameplay was so broken that I wanted to litterally launch my controller on more than a few occasions, thats a very rare occurence for me. I mean unless you tweaked the crap outta the sliders, the cheating linebackers and defensive backs will pick off 4+ passes a game, players fumbling 2+ times a game, the presentation is absolutely pathetic, no referees, no crowd pans, limited emphasis on stadium rowdiness and noise, I mean it was just an overall shallow and poor effort.

I do remember the greatness of NFL 2K5, and from the All-Pro demo, the gameplay feels intact. Just playing the All-Pro demo felt leagues better than NCAA Football 08 and the only reason I haven't bought the game is because I hear its quite shallow, with not much to do beyond the basis season mode (I don't really care for playing online, doesn't feel like sim football to me).

Yes, All Pro is great football. With still two more years/iterations left, maybe, just maybe, the NFL will open things up again like ALMOST ALL OF THE OTHER SPORTS do. Madden fans still deserve their licensed Madden. I'm not gonna blame them for what the NFL did (and what EA solicited for years). But 2K fans truly deserve a licensed 2K football game as well.

Indeed. I want NFL 2K back. Its too bad that some of the people who worked on it at Visual Concepts have been assimilated into EA.
