I consider this game to be highly sexist and another stunning example of the misogynist chauvinist prick known as Suda51.
This game is more offensive than Mein Kampf.

Exactly..I haven't had this much just plain fun in a long time...This game is effing amazing. Feels like a Genesis game in a new coat of paint.

I got through the opening tutorial and the first chapter last night.I'm loving the humor of the game and I getting a major Sega Dreamcast vibe from this game aesthetically. It's fantastic. It's awesome. It's sexy.
However, it's no Shadows of the Damned but... it's well worth the $44.99 I paid for it brand new. Thanks, Amazon!
Now if you will excuse me I have some outfits to unlock and zombies to cut up.

So a game that specifically revels in a goofy, over-stylized tone is more offensive than a book written by Adolf Hitler that laid the groundwork for a philosophical and political ideology that would eventually lead to the extermination of 11 million people?
That is easily one of the stupidest f***ing things I have ever read.

Yeah, I have to agree. I just don't see how a game that lets you cut up more zombies and its ilk with a chainsaw is deemed more offensive than the crimes that Hitler committed all those years ago.
Also, I have no intention of picking up this game. I'll rent it if I have to.
I've been excited for this since I first saw it during TGS.
Everyone thought I was crazy, but that didn't stop me from running to their booth at my first chance during E3 to play with it a bit. ;)

The second line leads me to believe this is sarcasm.
Yes you are. From what i have seen its a badly done Japanese anime game where the characters are the normal anime girls which you want to kill over and over again. It comes out tomorrow! And so far it seems like no one cares, the game is being created by Suda51! Who has only ever been responsible for really top games, like Shadows of the damned and no more heros. Alot of people have been complaining that it looks generic and ugly, personally iam digging the artstyle and the concept is friggin awesome, plus the game isnt even full retail price! On top of that, its been recieved pretty good with 9's and 8's! People are always complaing that every game these days are too much like COD and theres no originality! Well ladies and gentlemen this has to be one of most original games ive seen in a while! I dont understand how people are'nt excited!

I never said that I did:?
my bad......reading your comments before lead me to believe you reviewed it and were getting hate mail..that review you posted was what I was referring to if you did not write it...the review seems rather miss-informed... my review..not my best...but I am pressed for time this week... http://www.gamersperspective.com/It's kind of fun. The presentation is great, it's quite humorous and Juliet is a wonderful character. The gameplay is kind of repetitious and unsatisfying; you're always getting attacked by numerous zombies so the best strategy seems to be jumping to evade while simultaneously button mashing. The combos don't really work too well and it's kind of hard to focus on a single target anyway. You can lock onto a target, but that's not really a good strategy when you're fighting a large group.
But I'm having fun with it and there's a good variety of stuff to do. That 5/10 that IGN gave it is idiotic. But what else is new.
Played through the prologue and a bit of the first stage and I think this game is F***ing awesome! It's pretty much what House of the Dead would be if it was a hack n' slash game with a twisted sense of humor. Lolipop Chainsaw is part of a new genre that pays tribute to the B-Horror/Action Grind House films joining games such as Wet, Mad World, No More Heroes, House of the Dead: Overkill, Blood Will Tell, Samurai Western etc... While games usually have some far out $#!t happening, games like Lolipop Chainsaw as well as the ones previously mentioned help retain the movie art form known as Grind House.
So far this game has a b****ing soundtrack and is almost as good as Wet, it also compliments the atmosphere of the game extremely well. Combat is about the only thing that is simple at first but you also have the ability to buy new moves and combos although, I am still unsure of how much depth these upgrades will add to the combat. Also, this game oozes with replay value since it's arcade gameplay will satisfy most high score junkies. My game of the year so far.
Even before the game kicked up a broo-haha about sexism. i really wasn't interested in it.
Not because of how the female lead is done, just generally don't care for the premise at all.
personally everything about the game is a bit too over the top for me, and seeing people get their panties in a wad over how the blonde cheerleader (your first clue) with a hapless body-less androgynous boyfriend weilding a chainsaw (with heart stamped out of it) is done just gave me a bit of a laugh.
like what should we expect for the lead to be like? especially when they chose cheerleader, which is perfectly good choice if your going for the over-the-top approach in a game of glitter rainbow world whilst slaughtering zombies and monsters.
the entire thing isn't meant to be taken serious, it's entirely comedy. or at least an attempt at comedy.
I wasn't laughing, nor was i pissed, but apparently people are pissed.
I'm actually having a lot more fun with it now that I'm a bit farther into it. You get medals which are used to upgrade your health, strength, etc., and you can earn a lot more medals by using certain techniques, like stunning the zombies and then decapitating several of them at once, or using "sparkle hunting", which puts you into a sort of invincible mode once a certain meter is maxed out. It's best to save that for when you're surrounded by a large number of zombies, and then you can go nuts on them and earn a ton of medals.
Once I started doing more of that, I found my earlier complaints about the repetitive nature of the combat to disappear entirely.
This game sucks, plain and simple. Deal with it fantards...

I don't know where you slithered out from, but you don't belong here.
And by here I mean this entire forum.
On my second playthrough and Lollipop Chainsaw continues the tradition of Grassshopper's games being more fun than a box of puppies. I actually laughed out loud the first time I heard the conversation between Juliet and Nick about the latter's favourite colour. I probably shouldn't have done, but I did :)

That's pretty disrespectful.
People have the right to like or not like what they see, hear, or play. If you don't respect that, you don't belong here. Not on this thread, not on this forum.
