What I'm saying is that these lists aren't "Our Top 100 Favorite Games". They lack any flavor, it's just the same dull "100 Video Games with Greatest Impact List". I won't dispute that some of those Nintendo games are classic (and to be honest, I haven't played a lot of them because I was too young). I'm just looking for a little variety in the lists for a change. Favorite lists would do that. So no diss to Nintendo, before I get jumped in a dark alley.
Ok, I feel what your saying now. I too am sick of the 100 games that have had the most influence crap. My list although not in order or in many cases noted which title in the series, is a list of my favorite games all time. I tend to strongly disagree with most peoples lists either way. That's the thing though, the generation of games you were brought up in is most likely to have the majority ofyour own personal favorite all time games no matter what kind of list you are making. If I was making a 100 top influental games of all time list (imo there is no point), there would be a lot of titles people disagree with because they aren't there favorite games, so it's hard to win either way... lol :P. There are a bunch of very influental games that for the most part sucked.
I understand Nostalgia plays an important role in selecting the top 100...but I think that when it seems that 70 out of 100 games are NES games there is a bit of imbalance....Also...where is Donkey Kong Country?
All lists are created unequal...The only real way to get a top 100 is to get a bunch of people together to discuss it...I don't know how old-wizard did it, but it feels very off balanced. maybe its just me...There is no hydro thunder, wipeout, gran turismo either and they were/are/still great..
read old-wizard's top 13 scariest games and you'll definitely see the same pattern there too..

Old Wizards website I took a look at, and sadly I feel that its a poorly made website with no real opinions and it seems to be there just to gather advertising money.
