They seem to be porting almost everything else lately, so why not this too? I'm just ranting because it looks like an awesome game and I won't be able to play it due to the fact I have a PS3 and 360, but no Wii. Really though, is anyone else a little mad?
Not really, i have a Wii and PS3. though to be honest, im not really interested in the game anyways. But ill wait and see when the game is available to me.
There's generally a disconnect between games that you can get running on a 360/PS3/PC, and those you can get running on a Wii. I don't know the game terribly well, but if it's using motion mechanics extensively, then I doubt it makes for an easy port.
Not at all. I need something to play on the Wii. And I really like that it'll be something visceral and gory. My Wii shelf has begun to resemble a candy store, but with Mad World it'll look like a candy store that a cow blew up in.
That's the point of exclusive games, to make you buy the console... so by porting this game, nintendo will lose future costumers (not that they need to worry about losing constumers...).
Nope, I think it is OK for Wii to have this game to show other developers how to properly make a hardcore game for that system and not just crappy shovelware. Also Platinum Games is making Bayonetta for PS3 and 360 but not Wii so there is something cool and original for the high end console players as well.
In general, I think developers should be able to make games for the platforms they want. If they are building this game from the ground up for the Wii, I don't see why you'd want to play it on a different system. Besides any of that, the Wii needs games like this to show other developers what is up. I think it is a little silly that the Wii isn't getting more new and interesting games from third parties, and I hope Madworld starts a trend.
Mad World looks fun. I will resist temptation to buy the Wii by reminding myself that I made a similar mistake with Eternal Darkness and the GC (buying a system for a game which had nothing in common with 99% of a system's library).
