I got the physical game disc a while ago and now I got a message saying they're going to ship my Collector's Edition package. Do they ship all the extras separate from the game or did they make a mistake and now I'm going to get a 2nd copy of the game?

Anyone else receive the game ahead of the stuff they're starting to ship now?

No but Alan Wake 2 is a blind spot in my Survival Horror collection. Main reasons I've pulled myself away is because generally don't like Alan Wake 1, and AW2 seems to be very narrative focused and very slow paced.

Basically always wondering if I should just bite the bullet and give it a go or save my money and move-on from an experience I probably won't enjoy.

@RSM-HQ: I guess wait for a deep sale because while it has action, it is narrative focused and a slower pace than like an RE game

@girlusocrazy: Alan Wake 2 was on sale around Halloween but I picked up Nightmare of Decay instead; good game.

@RSM-HQ: That looks a little mindless but I'll try the demo

@girlusocrazy: Maybe you just like the AAA stuff, because I wouldn't call a game filled with puzzles and problem solving "mindless".

Isn't going to blow your mind visually, so if that's a deal breaker? it won't be for you.

@RSM-HQ: Oh I only took a quick look so I had no idea, I'm still going to try the demo and see. Plus it's on sale and cheap so I have no issue getting it.

I don't mind the graphics.

@girlusocrazy: It's no Signalis or Crow Country but think it's an overall enjoyable game. I've even seen a few want it ported to other platforms, which would be nice.

If Nightmare has one big glaring issue for me is it's paying too much tribute to Resident Evil.

While I like easter-eggs the strong nods to its inspirations can be overblown in some of these smaller indie games. Sacrificing identity for paying respect isn't always a good idea, & that's Nightmare of Decay main problem, it wants to be Resident Evil a little too much.
