Here's what Apple's Apple iPhone and iPod marketer Greg Joswiak says:

http://kotaku.com/5083711/iphone-is-the-future-of-gamplay

"There are already so many games and as we look at it, to us it really seems this is the future of gameplay. Whereas a lot of these devices [Nintendo DS and Sony PSP] are more in the past. And a big part of that is not just the device itself, which is easier to carry, and has the touch display and accelerometer which is great for gameplay, but it's the electronic distribution of the apps as well."

Whatever. Really, whatever. Kotaku says, "Nothing like the sound of casual gaming smack talk. It's so...casual."

Actually I would say the touch interface is what is stopping it from becoming a comparable portable gaming device.

You mean the fact that there's only a touch interface. ;)

& considering the kind of game experiences that I can get on the DS and PSP that I can't get on the iPhone, plus the fact that don't have to bother with memory management of my games... I'll stick to gaming devices, thanks.

Obviously.

But I'm sure a D-Pad and some buttons are only an accessory away.

Then the only problem is games which all seem to be gimmicky things to further show off the iphones gimmicky features.

Uhh seriously?

Apple just keeps finding more reasons for me to hate them.
