I'll get a PS4, it's cheaper, and they support indie developers which is the most important thing. Since I own a PS3, a Vita, and would own a PS4 I would get more value for PS+ as well and at a cheaper price than Live.
Also, if developers start to use cloud it seems likely that the system would have to be online anyway.
Much like last generation, a PlayStation and a half decent PC will have 98% of the gaming industry covered. No reason to get an Xbox until they stop being a port machine for PC games.
That's true
I won't buy a One, probably ever, mostly because I think these changes are simply temporary damage control. Â I will not support a company that shows such blatant contempt for its userbase. Â And one that backpedals trying to weasel their way out of it is even worse. Â Ironically I'd hold more respect for them if they held to their decision. Â I'm pissed at MS to the point that I wish there were a decent alternative to Windows.
I'm sticking with the PS4 for a good while and MS has some work to do to regain me as a customer. Â I was an ardent supporter of theirs right up until their reveal and they majorly f*cked up.
Honestly at this point I just don't know. The main reason I was going to get a PS4 instead was no DRM or required internet, but now since Microsoft reversed that terrible policy, and Sony is charging for online multiplayer, I'll re-think things. I'm probably not getting either one @ launch, so I suppose I'll let the games decide when the time comes.
I'm getting the PS4 first. I might get the Xbone down the line after a price cut or three (I'm convinced that the $500 price tag won't hold for long) especially if Project Spark takes off.CarnageHeartYea, hopefully they'll drop the Kinect and offer a $399 version. Â Even though I still wouldn't buy it, it'd be a step in the right direction.
