I'm not a FPS player but man this looks sweet! The burned-out naplamed hill map makes me want to rush out and buy the origioanl and the expansion immediately. Good thing I'm broke right now, I guess...

The maps are absolutely phenomenal. Vantage Point and Hill 147 are my favorites so far. The guns are so much more lethal. The flamethrower doesn't seem as unbalanced as people thought it would be. If you stay aware from them, they aren't a threat. It is a great crowd control weapon for Rush mode. I'll be surprised if anyone uses it regularly in Conquest.

Yeah, the flamethrower is as useful as throwing sticks at enemies in Conquest. I am really missing my red dot sights too  I've been jumping back and forth between classes a lot more, which I enjoy a lot. My only problem is that most of the maps have a ton of chokepoints where teams can basically just camp with a medic nearby and form a wall. That happened on 5/6 of the rounds I played yesterday. Also, vehicles seem extremely overpowered. I'm so glad that stats are tracked through the regular game, though. That was a huge bummer about Onslaught mode for me...I think it was well worth the $15 but I hope they release a balancing patch soon.

*I love the autocorrect on my phone. In that first post I meant to say "If you stay away from..." not "If you stay aware from them..."*

I haven't missed the sights at all which is nice. I had recently started using iron sights as the Engineer and have gotten used to it. Squad play seems to be very important. There were three of us playing last night and that helped. When we were all in the same spot we could really push forward and get things done. You have to be super stealthy to get anything done on your own.

I do get the feeling that we'll be beta testing this game for a while before it all gets sorted out. It seems like DICE has really been trying to balance Rush mode towards the defenders here lately, which I approve of. It was too easy for attackers for a long time in BC2 until they made the MCOMs stronger. We also played several rounds of Squad Deathmatch last night and had a blast.

Just may pick this up. Been getting back into Bad Company recently. Loved Battlefield Vietnam (Though there weren't many people still playing it when I picked it up)

I like the Vietnam expansion a lot more than vanilla BC2, it just feels like the maps are designed better and I like the vietnam setting over the modern settings. I just wish there were like 2 more maps, but I'm sure they will release more.

I just bought BC2 on steam for cheap a couple days ago and I will sadly hold off on this untill I feel I have gotten what I need from the BC2 standards maps. It looks amazing to be honest.... This picture right here blew me away... is it from actual gameplay or something
