Im looking for a good co-op ps2 or xbox game me and my roommate and/or brother can play over spring break. What it cant be is the following: Halo, Halo 2, Dyansty warriors (have 2-4, played one played them all, unless 5 is really good), Champions or norrath, Return to arms, all the gauntlet games. Basicly we dont want an FPS, we want either a RPG game we can play co-op, like final fantasy 5/6/9...or a game where you can level, or a game thats gonna last us a long time we can play together co-op. Please leave suggestions, we need this by spring break or it will be RUUIIINNNEDDD!!

Well let's see... 007 Everything or Nothing has a fun co-op mode that's not an FPS (although it's not an RPG either).

There is no RPG co-op game that I can think of. But you should check out Twisted Metal: Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2.

XBOX Splinter Cell Chaos Theory has some co-op features. Probably not enough to tide you over for your entire spring break, but it's cheap and different from the usual shooter stuff. And if you really want under the radar AND good, DeathRow is unique and something you should try. Read the reviews on DeathRow. Very highly rated. Plus, if neither of you have tried it, you'll be on equal footing, which will make for some frantic, even matches.

Oh, yeah! The Warriors ain't bad, either. Once again, read the review. Sounds like you want to do some dungeon crawling with your bro, but I can't think of any co-op RPG's. Sorry.

If you want a co-op game for the PS2 you should buy..

The Warriors. It's about $19.99. It's very cheap. The modes are fun. You can play story mode w/ 2-player or you can play against each other. You can create your own gang and roam around the entire city from all the boroughs of New York city. It's a really good game, you should get it especially if your like the fighting types.

summer_star, I was just about to suggest TimeSplitters 3: Future Perfect. I loved those games. And they had great multiplayer modes.

TS2 and Future Perfect are amazing. So many fond memories of crazy split screen play... I'd actually say Future Perfect is probably my favourite FPS of all time. As for other co-op games, check out Kuri Kuri Mix (titled 'The Adventures of Cookie and Cream' in the US) or the Metal Slug games.
