When you got a few downed and your friends are together, what do you like to play?

Right now,

Powerstone 2 and Smash Bros.

I would play a relaxing game probably such as Crash or a racing game.

If its the previous title you had above I'd be playing either Halo 2 with 4 people, Red Faction, or Killzone.

For me it usually isn't Legacy games... It's usually something newer like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii Sports, Raving Rabbids, DDR, Boom Blox, Singstar or Mario Party.

First you need a Nintendo 64, definitely.

And after that, you need Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye, definitely.

After that its up to you, but keep it on the N64.

Unless you have the option of playing a Goldeneye level on the original Perfect Dark. Perect Dark was the reason I had a 64.

My friends love Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 (even though they don't even watch anime) ~ de arimasu :P

Other games I would put are the soccer ones (for me, at least), Mario Kart (any version), Mario Party and Wario Ware Inc. (GC). ~ de arimasu

When in doubt, break out the Atari 2600, two pairs of paddle controllers and either Warlords or Video Olympics.

Duck Hunt drinking game. Smash Bros. Halo. Burnout. Mario Kart. Wii Sports (I know its not 'legacy' but I thought id mention it anyway).

Youd play a relaxing game at a party? o.O But how is Crash or any racing game relaxing anyway?

Virtua Tennis for the DC always goes over well 'cause 4 players can play at the same time and it is a game that is fairly accessible.

We always play NBA on NBC Showtime for the DC. When we get tired of that we move to either Virtua Tennis or Powerstone 2. Burnout 3 with Party Crash is also a good choice. Any of the Mario Karts, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Tennis, Bomberman, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Fifa, Nhl 09, Dead or Alive 4, Boom Blox, Wii Sports, Smash Bros., Halo, The Orange Box, RBI Baseball, and Pokemon Snap are a few more of my favorite party games.

On Sega Genesis: Beat 'em ups like Golden Axe

On PS2: Tekken 5, Soul Calibur 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2

On N64: Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64 (even though I'm always losing)

Street Fighter Anniversary with 2 joysticks and a hard drive is a religion :D

With that said, Capcom Collections are always a safe bet, but 2 joysticks are a neccesity.

Metal Slug is good to have too. Anything playable with a joystick will get played.

id say the newer games like rockband are the most popular at parties, but if you have to play a legacy game, then something like Duckhunt would be fun. also maybe games like MarioKart64, Golden Eye, Fusion Frenzy or the original Halo are good party games.
