Super Mario Bros 3 by a long way.

SMB3 was definitely one of the best. Loved Bionic Commando. Was hard as hell though!

Super Mario Bros. 3. 8 diverse worlds with many(short but sweet)levels filled with hidden goodies. Suits that give you cool powers. Perfect control. Memorable. Catchy tunes. There is no comparison.

Well, Super Mario Bros 3 really is that good, but I think I'll throw in some variety by saying Snake Rattle N' Roll. I really love that game, dude!

Even if smb3 was a milestone for games everwhere, I would have to saw either Dragon Warrioirs or Clu Clu Land is the best game

Thats a little hard to chose, i myself don't ever look at SMB3 as a NES game, as the first and only times i've played it were on the SNES.
Hmm, if i was to chose, it'd probably be something from the Mega Man series, its just so epic.

Gotta be the Legend of Zelda. Revolutionary and massive for its time. Was a big part of my early childhood!
