Best party make up for ff13?

i am on chapter 10 atm and i have been looking forward to using lightning snow and vanille...NOW my problem is...when i finally got to use the party they didn't seem as powerful as lightning hope fang...so i'm wondering...is snow vanille and lightning a crap group makeup? I want to be able to 100% the game, all marks and whatnot from what my friends are telling me there are hunts or something also...so whos the best group? or can any group be powerful?

Use Lighting, Fang, and Hope for normal battles because they are all around the best/ have a little bit of everything. Then use ur to CP level up only one class on Sazh, Vanielle, and Snow to make them really powerful for one class for certain battles.

If the paradigms for Hope.Fang and Lightning are done right you can use them for the rest of the game since they cover all of the differect character classes. My favrotie one to start off with on tougher battles is Medic (light) saboteur (fang) and synergist (hope). With this I debuff the boss, buff my part and keep them healed. I will normally switch to Ravager Sent Ravager when its time to attack.

My favorite battle team is Lightning, Vanille, and Sazh.

I'm currently using Lightning, Sazh, and Hope right now. Only reason I'm using Sazh is because he is the only Synergist who can cast Haste right now. Hope does eventually learn it right? If he does then I'll definitely be switching Sazh for Fang.
