Best Platformer on the PS2.

The PS2 had quite a bit of platformers and I want to know which you think was the best in on the PS2. A quick overview of some:Jak and Daxter: Jak and Daxter was built off of some of Crash Bandicoots roots, and gave him more moves and throw Jak into an open world enviorent. Mainly, the objective is to collect powercells to gain acess to more areas. With no loading screens, the game worlds was entirely connected and you would use Magic called Eco. Jak 2 and 3 focused on the future (Literaly) and changes Jaks gameplay to be a more GTA style game. Ading weapons and a more in-depth story, oh and jak can talk. While still keeping h open-world gameplay.Ratchet & Clank: Is a Platforming series involving a lot of action and comedy. It involves a lombax going through different planets usualy to stop some terrifying enemy from destroying the world(s0, turning mortal life forms into robots, etc. It always adds new weapons in the series, and as of the second game, weapons can be upgraded into different weapons. Most games use a few methods of Spyro, including collecting bolts instead of gems, and keeping comedic characters that mathc nicely with the Action.Ty the Tasamanian Tiger: Ty is a Australian Tiger in the outback. In reality, Ty is a Jak and Daxter rip-off with a few differences. Ty can bite a throw boomer rangs. There are different kinds of boomerrangs for different situations as you fight your way to the evil boss cass. You collect opals simillar to precursor orbs in Jak. Instead of powercalls you collect Thunder ehhs, which are used to power up machines (Sound familiar) But it had quite an interesting cast of chracters and IMO some of them have horrible fake accents, and the slang phrases they make are sometimes a bit to much to take. The Second game takes away the magic and mystic bunyips, and now for some reasosn bunyips are robotic manned machines that can be used to destroy stuff, they added loading doors instead of loading screens like Jak II and added mission/sandbox related gameplay, as well as other things.Sly Cooper:The Sly cooper series focuses on telling the game like a book and is made to look nd play like a cartoon/comic book with characters with great personality. the game focuses on stealth, and you can also play as slys friends. Bently is the strength, and has powerful fighting moves and in some cases mystic powers. Bently is the brainiac, hacking through conputers, making gadgets and weapons, and upgrading his wheel cahirs (in the 3rd game) with a deadly arsenal. Sly is usually chased by Carmilita Fox in every games as the trio makes off to do crime and often find them selves saving people and towns and stuff. Kind of like Lupin the Third now that I think about it.Tak: Tak ia a game that focuses on comedy and story telling more the gameplay IMO but throws in a lot of magic and IMO had a unbalanced dificulty level. But Tak has a wide range of magic he can use and is taking through a lot of different areas and worlds.These are just a few, what is your favorite platformer on the PS2?

Opinions based on what? Hell, GS has already proven to me they have rushed through games to rate them either because it's there or because they want to pay more attention on another game. Also, a lot of peoples opinions of jak II was WTF. Which didn't surprise me. We have a magical land, and all of a sudden "We don't know JaK" and he has guns. But it still kept the platforming.

Klonoa 2. Very underrated gem.AcidSoldner

I bought that game through Ebay, and I had fun with it. I recommend it to fans of classic platformers, or for people who like 2.5d games.

I really like the GBA entries in the Klonoa series, which are pure 2D, no 2.5D. I didn't care for the original 2.5D PSX series. Can't explain why, it just didn't capture me the same way the GBA ones did.

Had Tak: The Great Juju Challenge, but sold it

I've played (and almost beaten) Ty 1. And I purchased Ty 3 at GameStop, but it wouldn't work, so I returned it and got another copy, and THAT one didn't work. I think I might've even done it a third time with the same outcome.

They're all pretty good, everyone should have all of them for their PS2 collection.
