Battlefront is good, republic commando is, okay I guess. Still, neither one is in the same league as KOTOR.Jedi Outcast by a mile not even a question._Kikode_I don't recall Jedi Outcast winning any GOTY awards.
KOTOR hands down. Really the only time the Star Wars franchise has ever had me that immersed.
Also I had an almost unsettling degree of affection for Carth.
Jedi Outcast by a mile not even a question._Kikode_I like how everyone has their own opinion about the best Star Wars game, and multiple games are being said to win "hands down", no contest, etc etc. Unfortunately for the rest of you, only this man's opinion is correct. Those that also mentioned Jedi Outcast get kudos as well. :D To elaborate, Jedi Outcast had a fantastic fighting system. The FPS aspects were enjoyable, the whole gaining Jedi powers part of the story, and learning your abilities, was all excellent. The force powers themselves were ridiculously fun to use, and the lightsaber combat was amazing. Slicing up dozens of stormtroopers or force pulling them up to the ceiling only to have them fall to their deaths.. is awesome. Or stepping over all the pieces of stormtroopers to find the one still alive, force choking him as you look him in the eyes and watch his life bleed away. So.. Jedi combat second-to-none, excellent story, and interesting characters. And that's why Jedi Outcast is awesome.
Having played just about every Star Wars games made, I'd actually go with Force Unleashed. Despite some flaws, it had some of the most amazing, distilled Star Wars moments I've ever played; including Vader's march through a Wookie encampment and incredible force manipulation powers throughout.
I'd also give Jedi Outcast serious recognition, along with Jedi Academy and Dark Forces II.
If Lucasarts would ever get off it's ass and make a true lightsaber combat game for the new consoles, I think it would trump all.
The thing that frustrates me most about Lucasarts made Star Wars games is that they hate going into story details.
I build up good basic set up for story, especially in Jedi Academy, but they don't take full advantage of it.
If they just draw it out more, like Square style (maybe not to that extreme) then their games would end up being much more compelling, and i might care about the characters for a change.
anyway, just wanted to point that out since we are talking about star wars games.

Star Wars KOTOR won more GOTY awards when it came out than any other game that year, period. How many GOTY awards did jedi outcast get?
So basically what do you guys think is the best Star Wars game ever made, I'm going to go for Battlefront 2 seeing as it is my most played but I my mind is open so show me the light (preferably the Lightsaber)stephenageKotor nothing really comes to close to it
Theres a Star Wars game I played through for the PC, it had to have been about 10 years ago, that I do not remember the name of. It was a first person shooter, i remember the game being fairly difficult, but it was a pretty good game, wish I remembered what game it was. It really doesnt matter though because I still would pick Battlefront 2. I dont play PC games anymore but I really wish I did seeing all of these Star Wars games and me being a big Star Wars fan.nikolai37I think you're probably talking about Dark Forces.
You are the man! I LOVED that game back in the day.Star Wars Yoda Stories

Personally, though it's almost impossible for me to have a favorite Star Wars game. I've liked every single one I've played (mostly just because I'm a huge fan).
