game was pretty fun! i tried it out for about a good 30 minutes, enough to get the jist of the MP mechanics and they work really well. i like the visor functionality....even though it kinda seems like a cheat! good customization but absurd pricess on weapon upgrades (youll have to work your ass off for a permanent one through the purchase system)slvrraven9

well that sucks, i was planning on playing again tonight. guess ill have to wait for the official release then. id safely say that its worth a fiver or mabey even a ten spot, but that would be a stretch considering its MP and nothing else. ive played better games for that amount....but on the flip side i certainly have played worse games too ;) of course considering that its PWE hey, it might even be F2P. now wouldnt that be awesome!

update: according to the website, the closed beta did end today at 7P Pacific time. BUT thats only the closed beta. there will be an open beta in the future soon although there doesnt seem to be any dates about it yet. maybe im overlooking something though!

update 2: a tweet from one of the devs (take it for what you will!) states that the open beta will start on the 27th although we know that since PWE is publishing the game, the final say is completely up to them

its 12am here which means that i think tis 8P there. eastern/western and i just got done with about an hours worth of MP matches. i guess the signup process is closed but the beta is still going apparently. i got into a game and was playing pretty quickly.....got destroyed though, but still had a blast!

No wonder. I used the beta key, but it wouldn't download. It looks like it's too late to try it out.BranKetra

Well, the good news, the open beta was announced today. It's set for 2/27.

I guess the servers will be flooded around that time, so if you thought there werne't that many people on the servers, that's because it was a closed beta. :)

I played the closed beta a while ago, it's pretty sad that Blacklight Retribution runs better than Tribes Ascend even with the DX11 options at max.

Also, I loved the game but... the upgrade system is kind of expensive (3 dollars for temporary upgrades? I'd rather pay 15 bucks and avoid the P2W stuff)
