@dakan45: and I respectfully disagree. I don't care about the graphics, but the art direction in Halo is amazing IMO. Call of Duty just uses regular environments here on Earth. While not a bad thing, I prefer sci-fi settings over realistic ones in most situations.
@mastermetal777: i didnt say anything about the art style, but seriously in 2004? there were fps with better art style, but destiny art style is amazing.
I also prefer sci fi setting but, remember that arbitar mission in halo 2 that you just run away from the flood and found a piston pylon and press on it and jump inside the opening.....then did that 5 more times?
Thats some lazy copy and paste game design.
COD all the way ..i havent played any better fps game than this it has best graphics so far even better than crysis
lulz
cod 1/2 were weak and due to the short, generic and uninspired "creativity" of the cod "world" in subsequent games, i find this question laughable.
Halo . COD is trash .
At least Halo has some good lore and characters in it . COD on other hand ; Kill everyone , 'MERICA !!!!! :-p

Sarcasm .?
Comparing to COD to the likes of Halo, is like comparing pile of dog shit to a beautiful freshly made lasagne.

This made me laugh. :)
the early cod games (1, 2 and uo) were ridiculously good. then cod 3 happened. let's pretend it didn't and go to modern warfare which was also ridiculously good. from that point on it was a slippery slope downwards. although i much prefer the infinity ward games to the treyarch ones.
with halo the quality of the first 3 was similarly superb (the 2nd being the slightly weaker if i had to choose). then halo odst happened. let's pretend it didn't (i think of it as the cod 3 equivalent of the series). reach was a brilliant return to form before microsoft got involved and stunk the place out with halo 4.
so, all in all, each series has 4 truly brilliant games but because there are more bad call of duty games than halo games i'll go with halo

Dude Halo 4 had an amazing story, with great graphics, excellent voice acting and great gameplay, side from the multiplayer....what was there not to love?
Cod 1 2 and united offensive were simply amazing. Since then the developers have picked the bone dry by over milking it. Cod black ops and ghost is a perfect example of the same dry, boring and repetitive concept with nothing new to offer.
I have played only the first Halo but simply loved the sound and game play of it.
Halo trimuphs over cod anyday.

i guess i was just expecting something more of a step forward from reach and 3. it felt like it had lost some of the little nuances and attention to detail of the bungie games, a little bit of the romance and the personality. i didn't like the new promethean enemies, bizarrely they reminded me of the deku scrubs from ocarina of time, i couldn't really take them seriously.
i'll probably give it another playthrough whilst there's a bit of a gaming drought. maybe i'll take to it more second time round. the changeover from bungie to microsoft felt a bit like the difference between a designer shirt and an imitation one - from a distance you can't tell the difference but when you examine it up close you find the quality's just not the same ;)
