Graffiti Kingdom was mentioned, and I agree Aliens Vs Predator: Extinction, Rez (a PS2 copy - but it is of course DLC for X360 now), the Adventures of Cookie and Cream, and Psychonauts. You can find them on eBay, but in my experience they will often cost a fair bit of cash.
This is not true!! Yes it is. I just saw it at my Gamestop the other day. They have it for $79.99 used.Confirming this. However, it's MVC2; MVC1 wasn't released on PS2.
I wouldn't trust anything from Atlus as being rare, they're in high demand but they always do reprints and can be found new, at retail prices. I think we have to stop spreading the idea that their games are rare. They have always reprinted their games. Disgaea went through a few printings, now it's a greatest hits. A bunch of their PS1 games were reprinted (persona 1 and 2, rhapsody). Persona DDS was reprinted lately, Nocturne was reprinted, recently amazon started selling a Persona 3 fes but with the art book and ost that came with the original persona 3. Don't buy their games thinking they're rare and will be worth money, buy it because you want to play the games. GameQuestDirect.com is a company/online retailer that has been able to reprint a lot of the games already mentioned - Rez, Zone of the Enders 2, champions return to arms, fatal frame series, haunting ground, gitaroo man, shadow hearts series. They were the ones that reprinted the PS1 atlus games.

The AO version of GTA-SA is the "Hot coffee" version. If your copy actually has an AO rating on it, I would consider that the rarest game cover of the last decade.
I got the one with Hot Coffee in it but my copy isn't AO.

From my collecting history I'd say the following games are hard to find (I stop by my local gamestops almost weekly and I rarely see these - maybe once a year): Gradius V Skygunner Wizardry (old school 1st person dungeon crawler) Blood Will Tell (made by Sega so it may have gotten a low print run, Yakuza 1 and 2 are also kind of hard to find considering they're newer games) Under the Skin (bargain bin stuff, played demo and it didn't seem very fun) Fatal Frames Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 (the original went Greatest Hits but I think this was overlooked by Champions of Norrath) Way of the Samurai 2 (sequel, third installment was Western Samurai) Shadow of Destiny (Konami, pre-PS2 silent hills) Colosseum Spartan (another sega game) Digital Devil Saga 1, limited edition nocturne, and devil summoner FD18 or whatever it's called - firefighter game - I remember it was a hot item on ebay right after 9/11 futurama Rarest of them all - R.A.D. Robot Alchemic Drive by Enix I'm lucky enough to have most of these, other's I'm still trying to find. check out craigslist too if you have one in your area or check out the craigslist in the bigger city areas. What really stinks is that I SAW a copy of ICO on a shelf at gamestop, but I had no idea it was even rare. :cry:
If you like survival horrors then Extermination is a good choice. The atmosphere and sound effects are good and you get into the story quite quickly. It might be a rare game also.
I'm with everyone else who said Okami, Ico, Shadow of Collosus, and just about any of the more popular SMT games (DDS 1&2, Persona 3&4, Nocturne etc.). I stupidly lent my Persona's and DDS's to friends who ran of with them. Ingrates. Can't find them anywhere these days.

Yeah I already sold my Ico. I love the game, but it's a blocky mess. Can't wait for the HD version.
i saw manhunt 10 bucks at pawn down the way so no thats not rare and i bet if i went on ebay i can find loads of them for dirt cheap
rare is games like ogre battle top gear 3000 and other games that cost 30 out of the box used , thats the definition of a rare game ,if found in box dont even bother asking how much cause it can run in to the high hundreds !
