Yes, this is full-fledged addiction. Thing is, it could happen to anyone with manic compulsive tendencies, no matter the compulsion. It's not the game itself, it's the weakness of the mind. We used to have TV addicts, now we have videogame addicts.

Yep. It's not the activity but the person who's playing. A lot of people don't get that. Some people get hooked on video games so people assume that the video games must have some addictive property.
