Chrono Trigger SNES

Hey I just got Chrono Trigger and I was just wondering how the save system works. I'm wondering if there's save points throughout the world or if theres a menu option I'm just not seeing. Any help would be appreciated.

There are also save pints when you are out of the world map and in a leve, arena, or whatever you call it. They look like a bunch of shiny pluses jumbled together, so you should know what they are when you see them.

I think the first save point is just before the first boss battle. You can also save when you're in the world map any time.

You can save any time while on the world map. In actual locations there is save points and there is usually always one before a boss fight.
