Im looking for a good way to clean the outsides of some of my oldschool consoles. Any suggestions? I was thinking windex but wasn't sure if it would mess up the plastic.Working_StiffIt would help if you name which consoles.
Nes,snes,n64,tg16,neo geo,sat,genesis,dcWorking_StiffOk, Neo-Geo don't use Windex. If you clean it with it and play it later it will get hot faster and other thing. Windex on an Nes depends if you have a normal one or a Top loader. Regular is not recommended to keep doing it but it should be fine a few times, op loader is fine. Doing it on the DC will actually help it become dirtier faster after use. Everything else should be fine. Unless you have a Cd-Add-on on the Turbo and Gen, don;t use windex and Turbo Cd and the Sega Cd, but the console themselves, sure. Windex on N64 depends on color, what color is the N64?
any old multi purpose cleaning solution will work , just try not to use a cloth , since it leaves more of a mess than before.
I also find that using WD-40 actually makes the consoles look very good, it smells, but after the smell is gone, the consoles look brand new sometimes.
