COD 4 Xbox 360 > COD 4 PS3? Madden all over again?

Aguy at Gamestop just told me that the 360 version of Call of Duty 4 ran at 60 FPS and the PS3 version ran at 30 FPS, just like Madden. Has anyone heard of this? Is this true?How about the new basketball game that EA is coming out with? Same as Madden?

PC always wins when it comes to FPSs, RTS's, and WRPG's or it at least it seems :x

They are both the same. However, the PC version will be superior due to more players in multiplayer, and a higher FPS depending on your hardware configuration. TrueReligion_

That and because of user made mods and controls, but the latter two are a given...However, honestly I don't mind there being less players in the console version as less players enables me to stand out and a make a difference easier.

Indeed. I can't play an FPS with a controller anymore--it feels to clunky to me. That is the main reason why PC is my main platform for FPSes.

Both games run at 60 fps, this was confirmed by the developers awhile ago.

GameStop employees are known for saying whatever they want to support their system of choice too. I've seen them lie about game features, try to push one console over another, etc. I have yet to hear about any notable differences between the versions, the devs simply said they would be the same/similar and that's all we know.argianas

I think on 1up they talked about this. They asked the spokesguy if the PS3 version would be running at 30fps or take some hit in performance compared to the 360 version. The guy basically said that 30fps was absolutely unacceptable and that they would get the ps3 version up to standard at any cost.

Whether that means the PS3 version will take a hit in some other areas to get it running at that speed is unknown, but I believe they will definitely get it running at 60fps and as comparable to the X360 version as possible.

well great, some gamers wanna game, and fanboy employee's spread propoganda, I'm so glad I download majority of my games. still got quite a bit from stores though :?

It's a lie. They both run at 60 FPS. Even the devs said that the PS3 has a slight advantage on the graphics.

No I haven't heard of this, in fact according to the developer themselves both versions should be the same, either your gamestop guy is talking out of his ass or you've just made this up for your very first post.
