I see numerous threads of people asking where to find this game or that system, so I want to compile a list of all sites that buy, sell, trade, etc and hopefully get it stickied. If anyone has any other sites or suggestions, please let me know. Please bump this if you'd like to see this stickied as well. Thanks!

INTERNET:

Ebay

Half (A subsidiary of Ebay, but not an auction based site.)

Amazon

Game Gavel (Similar to Ebay, but designed more for gaming.)

eStarland

GameStop (Mainly deals in current gaming, but does have some retro stuff for PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, and Gameboy Advance)

Game Quest Direct

Atari 2600 (Great selection of legacy systems and games.)

Cheap Ass Gamer (Not a store, but you can interact with people on the forums to do trades/sales/etc as well as find good deals.)

Game TZ (Similar to Cheap Ass Gamer.)

Goozex (Another site similar to Cheap Ass Gamer.)

JJ Games

Craigslist

Collector's Cards & Games

Lukie Games

DK Oldies

Game Dude

Stone Age Gamer

Nintendo Repair Shop

Shop Goodwill (Similar to ebay.)

Play Asia (Japanese imports.)

Segagaga Doman Store (Also Japanese imports.)

LOCAL:

Flea Markets

Garage Sales

Newspaper (or place an add saying you're looking for games/systems/etc.)

Pawn Shops

Thrift Shops

Use Music Shops (Not all do, but some)

A1 Game Exchange and VIP Game Store (Local location only for the Boise, Idaho area.)

Cap'n Games (Don't know much about this site, but they do sell legacy games online and they have a store in Reno, Nevada)

Xbox 360 Arcade / PlayStation Network / Wii Virtual Console (Great places to find some retro games.)

FOR THE FOLKS IN EUROPE:

Retro Games

Genki Video Games (Only deals with Japanese imports.)

Console Passion

OTHER:

Briel Computers (Sells replicas of older computers if you enjoy those systems.)

Disc Replay (Locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan if you're in the area.)

Console Passion is awesome, I really recommend them for people in the UK/Europe, bought loads of stuff from there, and they do some great console mods for those people who aren't confident enough with a soldering iron :)

MODS PLEASE STICKY THIS!!!

We asked multiple times with the last thread, and it never happened. This is a priceless tool for collectors that frequent the Legacy Platforms Forum.

Yes, awesome thread. The prices can be a little high compared to auctions on ebay but my favorite shop for legacy games is estarland.

Thank you guys for the sticky bump, it's greatly appreciated! I keep having to remake this thread, and it's obnoxious, but I hope it helps other gamers in their pursuits for retro, so hopefully it'll get stickied! @Eikichi-Onizuka: I love eStarland also, such a great site. I love your name by the way, my personal favorite anime of all-time easily!

The most obvious option of all is missing from the list: Gamestop. Both local shops and you can buy online on their website.

The anime while good butchers the ending and only covers half the manga, so if you haven't read it I would recommend you do so.

They don't have the stock that they used to but GameQuestDirect is also a good site. They don't have as good as selection as most of the above links because they only sell new copies.

I've not yet read the manga (other than about 3 volumes), but I hear they're making the second half of the series for anime, but I'll definitely have to get the manga and catch up (considering manga is typically better by a long shot). Thanks for the link, updated!
