Sorry I've been away for a while on the Station Fire. I will send out your manly prizes as soon as I finish my dinner :) Make sure you have your Wii Connect 24 turned on and that you have added me on onto your Wii.
I stiil haven't received your Wii number yet, N3MO?
I sent out the Prizes but, onlyArchangel was able to receive it. Have you added me on to your Wii Dvader? I cannot send it to you unless you do.
No problem Spirit, I figured you were busy. Anyway I just downloaded it and can't wait to play it. Thanks again.
So is Contra Rebirth developed by original Contra developers? Also, is this a new Contra adventure or is it sort of a semi-remake of Contra III Alien Wars and some of the Sega Genesis ones? And will it be better than Contra IV? ASK_Story
Contra ReBirth is a prequel to Contra III. Although, you might see similarities to Contra III and Hardcorps but, its mostly fan service for Contra fans and fans of Konami's other shooters. So far, I have spotted references to the Gradius and Parodius series :)
As awesome as Contra IV was Contra ReBirth is no slouch. Contra ReBirth is probably the most intense of the series, rigth up there with Hardcorps, which is my favorite in the series. Contra ReBirth also brings on the Bullet Hell patterns more than the previous entries in the series. Its fast paced run and gun action that never lets up unlike the previous entries. Its short and you will definitely want more when its over but, these games were never meant to be long anyway. Some of the developers include the people who worked on Hardcorps and the arcade versions.
Its definitely worth the 1000 points ($10)
So far, I have only made it up to Area 3 but this game is all kinds of kickass!
[QUOTE="Spirit_of_87"]Yeah, on the Wii I see you colored in as a friend.I sent out the Prizes but, onlyArchangel was able to receive it. Have you added me on to your Wii Dvader? I cannot send it to you unless you do.

Alright! It now shows you as a friend as well. Your prize has been sent. Enjoy! :D
Contra ReBirth is now #1 on the most popular WiiWare games downloaded. Beating such manly games as Real Fishing Challenge and Sexy Poker :P
@Ardhangel and Dvader: I am glad that you guys are enjoying the game. I am playing this on Hard mode now and the intensity just picked up a few notches. More enemies and bullet patterns are dominating the screen and I am simply getting my ass handed too me. I've played through the entire game on easy and normal so that I can unlock the other characters, which really are a tribute to Hardcorps.
Going to try and 1cc this game now. First on normal and then on hard. Absolutely love this game!
N3MO, your prize has been sent :)
The ReBirth series is awesome and Castlevania is on its way :wiink:
Yep just heard about Castlevania which I am super excited for. So any Castlevania contest? :P

I actually have something in mind for a Castlevania ReBirth Contest, that I think would be a lot of fun for treasure hunters.
But, first I have to validate if some of these treasures actually exist. Stay tunned vampire slayers

& there are many CV games, so a question is what game would it be? :o[QUOTE="Spirit_of_87"][QUOTE="dvader654"]

The ideal game would have to be a Castlevania game that has already been released on the Virtual Console.
Castlevania ReBirth is scheduled for a Q3 release this year. I am predicting a late October early November release. So there is still plenty of time to organize a contest. :)

It's funny that the most prevalent CV game, SotN, is excluded despite being easy to find on PS1, PSP, 360, and PS3 in some form (meaning that what would be the natural choice for many can't work since it's not on the Wii... stupid Konami). I personally didn't get into Castlevania until the GBA era, but the only main 2D CV games I haven't played yet are the original (I've got Chronicles though) and Bloodlines, and why they haven't released Bloodlines yet on VC is a complete travesty. They could have released it around the same time as Portrait of Ruin if they wanted a good tie-in. What a horrible night to have a curse... overcoming that one is nigh impossible without a FAQ or something. It's funny that the most prevalent CV game, SotN, is excluded despite being easy to find on PS1, PSP, 360, and PS3 in some form (meaning that what would be the natural choice for many can't work since it's not on the Wii... stupid Konami). SOTN is too easy and there is not much you can do with it in a contest besides speed runs and 200%+ completion. Simons Quest (what I think was the blue print for SOTN and every other 2D game after) is out of the equation for the reason you have already stated. So naturally it would have to be either Castlevania, Castlevania III, Castlevaina IV or Bloodlines if it ever gets release. Since those where the only games on a home console that kept a high score. Besides its only fitting that it would be an original game so that it coincides with the ReBitrth series.
My first option is a Treasure Hunt, and the second would be a High Score competition. Castlevania I and III provide a better challenge than Super C.
