Could You Ever Give Up Gaming Cold Turkey?

Could you just one day put away all of your games/systems/handhelds and just never play a video game ever again? This doesn't mean board games or card games or anything, but electronic games.

Personally I don't think I could. I've gone months without playing, but I don't think I could go the rest of my life without playing something.

Nope, not at all. Unless I went blind in which case I wouldn't have a choice. But I'm very conservative with self pleasure and I eat all my carrots so I should be fine.

I could, If I had to for some reason... But I sure wouldn't want to, ugh that would suck.

I don't think i would be able to go cold turkey. Every once and awhile I'll come to a point where I stop playing games as much as I had been. Normally though its onlya few months or so but I will always find my way back to gaming.

That is, in fact, what I plan on doing once this generation is finished in a few years. I've already scaled back somewhat, but I won't stop entirely until this generation ends.

No Ill probably need a gum to fights the cravings for gaming and then slowly ill be able to stop playing games

Honestly i can't unless i became a giant Anime freak. er, scratch that, bigger anime freak than I already am. I kinda grew up on gaming so a life without it would drastically change me, and believe it or not I actually like the way I am.... well, when im not passed out at someone else's apartment.

Well lately I haven't been playing too many video games. I guess I'm just at a loss of games I want to play right now. Anyways, I could never just stop forever. That would be terrible.

Well, I've been having less and less time for it lately. I've hardly gamed this school year. As the years go on, I may have to save gaming for the summer. But I don't plan to give up completely. I don't see the need.

Of course, I'm excited as hell. But still, I'm used to gaming every day. I'm probably going to buy a PSP and take it with me to assuage my need.

well.. havent played a game in 4 months(thanks to my pc giving out on me and not being able to afford the other consoles).. but been reading reviews, watching gametrailers.. at first it was torture .. hmm akin to any withdrawal symptoms i would say :) now it aint too bad.. i now plan to pick up where i left off..

With the direction that gaming seems to be taking, then yes, I can pretty confidently say that I wouldn't have too big a problem quitting gaming somewhere down the line.

I can never give up gaming, unless circumstances forces me to do so. Its a part of who I am even when I get older I may play less but I won't ever quit.

I gave up for a while but only because it was when I was unemployed and needed to sell my console and all my games just to put petrol in the car! It wasn't too bad but I started watching a lot of tv and personally I think video games are better for you.

For a while, yes. For good, no. It would be like asking me to give up watching movies or reading books.

I don't think I could. Giving up games forever... That'd suck.

I've gone several weeks... back in high school. But that's about it :P

I could go a little while. But to quite forever? Nope. Can't do that.
