Do i need anything special to plug ps2 into HDTV?

My old tv was just small and i wanted to try it on my new big one and it wont work! wtf? on one of the input things i can get sound but no video?

They usually have the standard composite connectors. You can always opt to get component cables and change the settings in the interface on the PlayStation 2.

Even though you got it working, you should still get a set of Component cables if you want the best quality possible. I'm pretty sure PS3 component cables are backwards-compatible...

Yeah you have to buy component cable (AV looks like crap). Any PS3 component works fine.

Component is definately the way to go, especially if you have an HDTV. As I understand it the official Sony cables or the Monster Cables are your best bet.

Stick to an SDTV. The PS2 looks awful on an HDTV (IMO)

edit: and p.s. i agree with the post above me. the ps2 looks ugly on composite cables on an HDTV

stick to sdTV or get component cables.
