Do some people just not play horror games?

You mean FPS where you have no ammo and enemies can soak 10 headshots(im looking at u RE5), yea i pass on those.

Well just like some people don't watch horror movies, or listen to horrorcore music, it's just a preference. I have no doubt that many people don't like horror games and don't play them. I myself don't like to stay away from something possibly good just because of labels or genres. I've always tried to look at things with that sort of mindset.

becasue in this game its much more than a horror game, the gameplay is fantastic, huge set-pieces, good puzzling

and its controls soooo smoothly

i like Amnesia also, but you dont like Silent hill 3? I loved all of the first 3 silent hill games

the 2nd in particular is possibly my favourite horror game evergillri

I should probably give it another chance since I haven't played it much, but I was put off by the awful controls and the braindead combat the first or so hour I played it.

I think the last 'horror' games I played were AvP2 and Doom 3. These days I just like to be entertained by games, rather than scared by them. Dead Space 2 looks very good, but I want to unwind by playing a game...not get wound up! ;)
