Not me, recently in the ps2 i spent over 7 hours on ff12, still was not able to achieve a lot, but then i had to stop (not only cause of mom) since i think one needs a certain break (not just switching to other games) just to relax the eyes, hands etc. i would have gone to play right back after two hours, however i believe in break play and not in non stop play, (even if i do not have a social life, unmarried one-side love 30 years now).

And i have hard time believing when someone says he/she has played the game from start to finish speding around 10+ hours with only natural breaks.

English isn't your native language i hope? If so, then you'll probably need to get out more. Cause it seems like you've forgotten how to make sense in social interaction. I've spent more than 10 hours without breaks if you don't count bathroom or food break, loads of times while playing wow together with friends at parties etc.

Sorry pal i am indian and English is roughly my normal language, speaking wise or typing wise. Also i have the habbit of typing faster, so yeah.

I still find it hard to believe but i have seen those lan parties in a program of game in some channel some time ago, so you are probably not lying, you must those complesionists and perfectionists kinda player, for me its probably 5-8 hours and then my eyes and other parts needs time out for some time.

A large portion of the hardcore MMO players play around 8-10 hours everyday, It's not so strange in the west were you can survive without having a steady income and trust your family/goverment to support you.

Inbetween jobs years ago I spent entire weeks almost nonstop on some RPGs. No MMOs. I got about 2-3 hours of sleep and had to force myself to eat and clean up every now and again. But I did it all as quickly as possible and got back into the games.

I'm kinda going through a collecting/not-playing-much phase right now though. I go through spells where I play a lot and times when I barely touch a controller.

I have plenty of RPGs that could keep me busy for a lifetime, and the collection continues to grow every month.

Not really. I like to space out in between gaming sessions so I don't finish the game really quickly.

I don't really think theres anything wrong with non-stop playing if people do it from time to time. I myself hardly ever game for more than 1-2 hrs straight anymore, but thats just the way it is. I hop around go on the computer, go outside, get something to eat, then go back to gaming.

I used to play an MMO and I would commonly play it ALOT. Like 4-6 hrs on the weekdays and 6-10 hrs on the weekends. Even then though I was never non stop playing I had quite a few breaks of eating, watching sports, going outside etc. just for fun. I just ultimately ended up racking up a lot of hours on the game even if they were spread apart. Still just because I have never been a huge fan of non stop gaming doesn't mean I should condone someone for doing it. Especially if they just do it on the weekends or something.

I played the first Metal Gear Solid game nonstop. And I felt like a dumbass.

For starteers, I was still playing at 5 in the morning, and I was tired as hell. Which caused me to be worse at the game resulting in me screwing up relatively easy scenarios.

Secondly, After I was done, it was 7 in the morning. Way too late to finally go to sleep, and the rest of the day just plain sucked.

Thirdly, by knocking out the whole game in one night, I had nothing to play the next night.

Yes. I don't know how many times I've spent playing a game for at least 6 hours a day.

I went 36 hours on Bad Company 2 playing online one weekend. I only stopped for bathroom breaks and to throw down a sandwich once and awhile. I went up like 20 levels in that time frame.

Yeah, I do for the most part. Depending on how long the session is its fine. It could be like 5 hours but you obviously should take small breaks in between, that's what I usually do. I usually take like a 5-10 min break to relax/get a drink or snack/ etc then hop back on

I believe in it, but no way in hell I could do it. I can barely play a game for 3 hours without having to stop.

I usually play games for 4-5 hours at a time. I usually plan to only play for a couple hours, but I often keep playing for two or three times that.

I think the longest game play session I had was close to 20 hours. The only times I ever play for this long is around Christmas when I get a new console or a whole bunch of games. One example is when I got my PS2 around three years ago. I was in high school at the time. Me and my brother got close to 30 games that Christmas since PS2 games are so cheap. Ratchet, Jak, Splinter Cell, Final Fantasy, Dark Cloud...so many games. There was a point I had to really go to the bathroom, but I didnt want to pause the game. I kept playing til I couldn't hold it anymore. Good thing my room was right next to the bathroom or I wouldn't have made it.

but ofcourse it would depend whether one really likes the game he/she is playing. i will never ever (probably) do online cause its too costy and overall worthless. unless its those handheld ones, which i would like to try but i got no wi-fi around.

and to knight and keally well i am not ofended i often depend on what others say then believing in self.

It's best to take things in moderation, the longer you play the more you take it for granted and the less you enjoy it.

Not really. I like to take breaks every once in awhile so I don't finish the game too fast. I'm more in a collecting phase right now though, and there are days where I don't even play video games at all because of my education, my job and stuff like that. The collection I have now though has me set for a few years worth of entertainment, and I wanna keep it that way. :P

And to those people that spend 10 hours every day playing World of Warcraft or some other game, I'm not gonna say you don't have a life or anything retarded like that, I just don't know how you do it without getting bored. :P
