The last time I ever did that was for Castlevania OoE, and will most likely be my last. Otherwise, I think its a waste of money to be spending premium prices on something that will inevitably become cheap over time.
Until recently I'd buy any game I wanted on day 1.
Since it's hit $70 a pop, I've been patient. Waiting weeks, or months, then losing interest and not buy anything at all.
$70 (plus 12% sales tax) is the magic number where I opened up my eyes and just stopped buying. Normally I'd have bought 5 or 6 games since my last purchase (SFIV). But I've bought nothing since then.
If the prices don't go back to $50 (Wii) - $60 (PS3) I'llhave to quitgaming (at least through legitimate means). That's not a threat, that's a promise.

That's why I have 140 Xbox games for the same price as 22 new release Xbox games.
only NBA2K and Madden, just to keep up with the online community.....the only other games I bought in the first week were the GTA series....all the rest is a waste of money to me...I can wait till they are lowered in price
if ive been waiting for it yeah but if its a game that sounds good and i want it ill wait until the price drops abit :)
if i want the game really badly ill pre order it other than that i see what its like at my friends and buy it if i like to
