Yeah I miss Sega...though you can't tell right now.....Im a HUGE Sonic fan.
The first time Sonic was on a Nintendo system....Sonic Advance.....when I first played I had a tear in my of saddness.....that was my geekiest moment lol
Right on, we should judge gaming companies by how they market, not by the games they produce. Why do you kids even play games?SEGA just sucked at marketing and they still do now, lots of their good games bomb.:(

Unless you grew up with the PS1 and beyond, how could you not? Who knows what impact, if any they would have in the current console race, for all we know they would be tarnishing their legacy even worse than as a 3rd party developer. But I had too many great times with my Genesis and Dreamcast alone to not remember them fondly and wonder what they could accomplish with today's technology alongside their creative peak.
Ecco the Dolphin, Vectorman, Fantasy Zone, Chakan, Streets of Rage, 2k Sports, Toejam & Earl, Shinobi, Kid Chameleon, Chu Chu Rocket, Nights, Columns, VMU's, Panzer Dragoon, Greendog the Beached Surfer Dude.. hell yea I miss Sega.
I miss the true/old Sonic the Hedgehog games. I owned a Genesis. Also, games like Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Golden Axe (they're making a new one on PS3 and Xbox360), etc.

yeah i feel ya bro,i used to think since the graphics then went up that 2d games would look like a hundred times better than symphony of the night but then they always end up going 3d
Man, Genesis games used to have the most whacked out commercials ever. They were always supposed to be 'cutting edge' and 'in your face'. The problem with that is that no one likes people that are 'in your face' and 'in your face' people usually end up getting their teeth knocked out by some one that's had enough of their junk. That's sort of what happened to Sega, they got their teeth knocked out.
I do not miss them at all.

Yet the Genesis still put out tons of quality games and sold a bunch of units. It may not have won against the SNES, but the SNES was the SNES - nothing could beat it in the 16-bit era. The fact that the Genesis managed to go shot-for-shot and brutally compete with the SNES in what was probably one of the biggest all-out console wars, if not the biggest, in video game history. The fact they managed to survive and prosper was a feat in itself. It was a great console. Also, people don't give the Dreamcast enough love. It had a really unique feel and personality about it unlike any other console to this day. It also was the first console to introduce online gaming. Unfortunately, it just came out at the wrong time, too far ahead of its time when it came out (online was cumbersome, etc) while also too far behind its coming competition. It's a console that was basically between generations, which was just a bad move. That and the piracy problem was just out of control. No mods, no nothing, just discs. I have no idea how Sega let that happen. Please Log In to post.
