do you play current games to?. or just stick to the older stuff?

I think people can "only" play current games while at the same time they are playing "legacy"/older stuff. I'll explain it this way, think of all the games on XBLA, PSN and Virtual Console.

XBLA has games like 1942 Joint Strike, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Turtles in Time Reshelled, Vigilante 8 Arcade, and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. While these are new games, other than the graphical updates, they contain the most essential connection to their older counterparts - the gameplay.

PSN has all the PlayStation games, and while those are the original games, they are now downloadable content, playable without the CD's on both the PlayStation 3 and the PSP. A new way to play them, while they are still the older games.

Wii Virtual Console - all the "Rebirth" games, and the WiiWare games like Blaster Master - similar to those new games on XBLA they retain enough of the old fun.

I don't want to forget to mention Mega Man 9 and 10 which are on all 3 services - they are more like the old games.

There are also quite a few games on PSP that also fit this - Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles, Mega Man Powered Up, Ultimate Ghosts & Goblins, and many more. Even GTA Chinatown Wars went back to the old overhead-camera view while being a new game.

Another example, which may have been mentioned, would be to look at all the compilation games - released for new systems, but contain older games - many people enjoy those.

Like I said in my other post, I'm a gamer, I play games. I've played almost all the games I mentioned and while I find them fun, I can still go back to the older ones on the older systems and have as much fun.

for modern games i'm almost strictly PC, but i still really like playing and collecting old console and arcade games.
