I have found that I rarely play through a game more than once. The only games I have played through multiple times are those in which your choices affect what happens around you, and ultimately, the ending. Examples of games I've played through multiple times are Star Wars KOTOR, Fable, and Mass Effect.

How about you?

It really depends upon how much I enjoy the game. I played through FFX, Heavenly Sword, MGS, and GRAW 2 about 2 or 3 times.

I haven't gotten that one yet, but I can't imagine myself playing through the single player more than once since it appears to play pretty much exactly like the 4 previous games.

Most RPG's i'll play through twice or more. Also SP games around 7-10 hours i'll play through more than once to feel i've got my money's worth.

I can only bring myself to play an rpg more than once if it allows you to make moral choices that affect the story and the ending. I really wish jrpg developers would borrow some ideas from Bioware and Lionhead.

some games just have something that clicks and makes me want to play through again. new costumes, higher difficulty levels, and the like help but some games are just such a fun a experience all by themselves that i want to enjoy that experience more than once.

It really just depends. A few of the ones I have finished I have finished twice. Usually if I beat a game though and wanted to play again, I wouldn't start a new game, but just skip between different chapters that I thought were fun. Although I believe I have beaten Resident Evil 4 about 7 times.

Usually. Only if a game is really bad do I not go through it at least twice.

Hmmm...once I think about it I barely play through games. I know I have played through Sonic The Hedgehog 2 countless times (and more than any other game) but that's because I loved playing it with my little brother and it's the best platformer out there. I also played Contra Hard Corps tons of time w/ my little brother but that was mostly trying to beat that game for the first time for a year. lol So most times, I mostly replay games just to try to beat it for the first time and not actually being able to play through it entirely multiple times. Especially when I played Final Fantasy 8 dozens upon dozens of time because I had to restart the game everytime I died thanks to the fact that my PS1 couldn't save... Oh and I like replaying Devil May Cry 1, 3 and 4 because I like going through the harder difficulties with all the weapons and abilities I gained through the previous play through.

it depends on the game, but i've played a fair few games more than once.

I've played through Half-Life 2 at least four times.

Same here. For me it really just depends on how good the game is.

I treally depends on the game. If the game has various endings and a lot to see on multiple playthroughs, then sure. If it's a very fun game that's always fun no matter how many times you play it, sure.

Played Duke Nukem, all of the Tony Hawks, and Portal to death. All depends on the game and if it is replayable or not. I personally think all the good ones are :-)

Yes but 90% I stop in the middle of the 2nd playthrough. It gets boring quickly because I already know what's going to happen.

For me, it's the story that makes me play a game again.

I agree with skp_16 I usually stop on the second play through. I rarely play a second time, but games like Fable2,GoW,GoW2 I'll go through again because they were fun enough to do again. But Fable 2 i just wasn't ready to put down so I made another character and played again, game was short so it was do-able.

I used to when I was younger. I would play through the big RPGs like FFVII and FFVIII twice. Once on my own and once with a walkthrough to get all the stuff/secrets/summons and junk I missed on the first time around. I wouldn't do it now (with an RPG) because I don't have the time and my backlog is too big. And probably because too few games fill me with a major sense of wonder anymore like those did. Pretty much everything has already been done RPG wise. That said - I'll probably play through Metroid Prime, Fallout 3 and Half-Life 2 again someday when enough time has passed for them to feel sort of new. I'm also on my second playthough of Onechanbara for the quests and achievements.

If I liked a game enough, and/or it has alot of content and optional quests or optional missions to do.

Sometimes, if it's fun. Or for achievements. I beat the first Gears of War almost 4 times. Once on casual, next on hardcore, one for collectibles, and one more act for insane.

I replay games quite a lot - especially my all-time faves. I view it the same as re-watching a good movie. I think I replayed almost every game I own at least once.

Yup, all of the time. I do that with the majority of the games I buy. I just finished playing through God of War 2 for the 4rd time, and I finished God of War 1 5-6 times. I always play on easy/normal first, then work my ay up. It helps a lot. :D

Of course, I usually play through games more than once, specially if I bought them :D Most of the times it's just for the fun of play again, im not as interested in achievements or secrets as I was before, dont have much time.

If I buy a game im not interested in playing again, I sell it.

If I really like a game I always play it more than once. Most memorable for me regarding replay would be Bioshock and Mass Effect. I hated to see either of those games end.

It depends on the game, really.

If it's amazingly good, then yes, I will play through it again.

Some games are worth replaying and some are not. Im not really a huge fan of revisiting things I have already done before like movies but I have really enjoyed going back through some games and some of them were even linear like FF10 and now Xenosaga. I guess in the back of my mind thats why I do not like to get rid of my games and books when i finish with them. I know that at some point I will forget enough to where i can pick it back up and revisit the game or book and have a really fun experience again. But I've never sat and just repeatedly crushed a game back to back to back, thats insane. There are way to many games and new experiences to be had to do that.

Depends on the game. Like I've played several games more than once, it all depends on the fun.

Most games I own I've played through at least once. Most any shooter I play through on a harder difficulty, and most any RPG I play through again with a different character build.

Not too often, but on rare occasions when i truly enjoyed everthing about the game that i had to see it again.
